First, let me introduce this guide by saying that it's absolutely mandatory to read this guide. This guide will go into what is expected of High Ranks in DERB. This will also go into the powers that DERB grants you as a HR. Not only will I say expectations, but I'll also mention things that you should never do. So here are the expectations of all DERB High Ranks:
1) Show up with the High Rank uniform on during DERB events such as trainings, meetings, etc.
2) Use grammar. Grammar is absolutely necessary. Grammar proves your intellectual knowledge, and it sets a good goal for Low Ranks.
3) Always set a good example for Low Ranks. This means that you don't do anything to set a bad reputation for DERB.
4) Because most, if not, all high ranks were tested on their skills, leadership, etc, we expect you to follow these skills that you possess. For example, if we're losing a raid, come up with a plan to get the flag. This shows that you have leadership.
5) Host trainings as much as you can. Try to increase the skill level and the discipline level of DERB.
6) There are many other things that I can mention, but these are the main ones. If I said all of the things that High Ranks should do, this guide would take a long time to make.
Now that you know what we expect of you, I want to go into what we don't expect of you. So these are things that you shouldn't do as a High Rank in DERB:
1) Don't admin abuse. I have receieved many complaints about people who admin abuse. So for this one, I'm going to go in depth. Admin abuse means that a High Rank abuses their admin powers. This term is pretty self-explanatory. So, don't kill Low Ranks for no reason, don't punish for no reason, don't use m/ or h/ when someone joins a game, don't kick/ban for no reason, don't kill/punish/kick/ban if a Low Rank misunderstands you. And also, only use m/ or h/ for saying something like "Choose the next activity," "Go!," (In a combat event), or something oriented with DERB events. Also, you can use it for something important.
2) Don't mess up with grammar in DERB oriented events. I'm saying this, even though it was mentioned earlier in this guide, because I want to go over most of the things that High Ranks could mess up on.
3) Don't destroy things with the builder tools (btools) in-game. There are some exceptions to this rule.
4) There are many other things that I can mention, but these are the main ones. If I said all of the things that High Ranks shouldn't do, this guide would take a long time to make.
So, these are the basic, main expectations that we expect out of you. Now I'm going to go into the powers DERB grants High Ranks. So here they are:
Defenses: All ranks can host defenses against our enemy. If you're a new High Rank, try to get other High Ranks to help with the defense.
Major ~]HR[~ --Majors can host trainings. They can't host discipline trainings, rally's, raids, meetings, etc.
Commander ~]HR[~ --Commanders can host trainings, and they can host discipline trainings. Exception: Have a Rogue General or higher run you through the way to host discipline trainings. If you weren't run through how to host them, then you're not aloud to host a discilpine training.
Colonel ~]HR[~ --Colonels can host trainings, discipline trainings, and regular meetings. The meetings must be important, and have an effect on DERB currently, or in the future.
Rogue General ~]HR[~ --Rogue Generals can host trainings, discipline trainings, High Rank meetings, regular meetings, rally's, and raids. Rogue Generals were hand-picked by a Brigadier General, or the Emperor of DERB.
Brigadier Generals ~]HR[~ --Brigadier Generals can host trainings, discipline trainings, High Rank meetings, regular meetings, rally's, and raids. Brigadier Generals were hand-picked by the Emperor of DERB.
Emperor ~]Leader[~ -- The emperor can do what they want to do. They own the group.
Please follow these expectations, and don't abuse the power that you have. If you do, consequences will pay. Thank you for reading and Heil DERB! |
