Hello fellow Scripters,
I'm currently making a Server Management system for ROBLOX. It will feature everything you could possibly need to make your game secure and easy to manage. But I need some ideas! I currently have the following features implemented: - Anti-Message Spam (50 Message Instance limit, Togglable) - Anti-God (Max health forced at 100%, Togglable) - Anti-Run (WalkSPeed forced at 16, Togglable - Anti-Jump (User cannot jump "high" unless a certain gear is equiped, Togglable) - Services locked blocking Admin Commands (Anti-Cheat, non-Togglable) - Debug Commands ("$ban user", "$server reset", etc) - Auto-Regeneration - Data-Persistence Banning System - Intro-GUI System
I was thinking about adding a word filter, and maybe even an easy-to-use VIP System. Any other ideas? |

Idea GET! Easy Spawn System Generation? Elaboration: Create a template for what happens when the player spawns. Like, whether a Script should be executed or something. =/ |

No. I'm talking about the endless arguing over my intense immaturity a long time ago. I think it started because I kept spamming "PANCAIKS" for absolutely no reason.
WAIT. We used to troll? :D I still do that, only on SB's now because they killed InsertService. Mostly I just break their Admins, and watch the "OMG Y WONT IT WORK!!!!!" |

It would be great if you could package loads and loads of 'services' together, like a GunService where you could call a function and it would attach events and stuff to bricks or players or it would fire shots from a brick when a different function was called at a specific speed, timeout, colour, size, etc.
SpawnService, allows full control of spawn time, what happens on death, on respawn, where to spawn players, pseudo-teams.
MessageService allows you to restict amounts of messages, could allow you to send broadcasts to certain players, teams or everybody in a GUI, standard message, hint etc.
It would mean you could just insert a few services and you would have yourself a full game, doing as little coding as possible because you've already made it. |

If I work on something similar, or an "engine", I'd include these (all togglable):
A large library in the global table for general use Run/walk mode: Ctrl (:GetMouse()) Ragdoll deaths Welded deaths Quick deaths (:LoadCharacter() about a frame after death) A leaderboard
Administrative commands (voice and GUI) [ -DP banning and new admins -Crash banning (crashes player) -Leaderstat changing -Team creation +All regular commands the average noob knows from P299's. -Using '/' to seperate arguments to make an easy change from P299's to MINE :D ]
A script which cleans up hats and tools left in the workspace every n seconds. A script which gives players warnings and edventually kicks them if they chat more than n chats in a second (to stop spammers) A 'bing' noise every time a player chats A 'Tada' noise every time a player joins the game, + a GUI that tweens in from the side
A killfeed A custom chatGUI
Now, that would require a lot of work, but if done well, this would be extremely helpful...just to insert whenever I work on a new place, instead of creating half of these things all over again. |
