yeah but 7 and xp are only on older computers which will eventually slow down and break down due to mechanical failures windows itself contributes to this by putting extra wear on the hard drives with its registry and all that crap
and the major companies like valve and sky/pe are already porting to linux and there's tons of alternatives to common programs already native on linux |

in the past yes now, running linux is as easy as running an executable for ubuntu wubi or burning and booting from a cd or usb drive then just click a few buttons and your system is completely setup |

| @oozle: .. win7 isn't all that old and no one will use win8 except people that don't kno anything so okay .. xD ! and i don't want to use an OS that is DEPENDENT on wine xD .. i would use another OS if i needed to use an emulator thing all the time ! |

kde is just a graphic environment shell, it only represents the windows that you see everything else is standard with most linux distros |
