Hey guys. I'm planning to build a model of a building that I designed myself, because I'm in a drafting class, you see? So I opened up studio and brought out my layout. I started to build, then something struck me.

How big is a meter in roblox?

Please clarify the distances. Thanks!

I would guess around 2 studs as the average robloxian walks 2 studs a step but bear in mind this would mean the characted is 1 meter wide and 2 and a half meters tall but this is inevitable due to roblox's unproportional character size.

Great... This arguement again... Ignore all these people giving you unnecessarily long functions to calculate distance...

For simplicity's sake, just say 1 stud = 1 foot...

Yeh if you wanted an accurate model, roblox isn't the place to start because first of all, it does not have correct ratios and it is always hard having appropriate and standardized scale in any game so one meter doesn't really make sense just like you cant have a meter unit in space invaders you can only guess.

It's easier to calculate a foot than a meter, so just convert meters to feet (using 1 ft. = 1stud,) and round to the nearest 0.5. Does anyone else feel lonely that us and some remote country are the only people to use feet? :P

Not really sure, they had an official measurement in one of the gear week and it ended up being like 20 something studs which I think is unreasonable. I think that 3 studs is more accurate since 1 stud = 1 foot, and 3 feet = 1 meter.

To the person who said that the UD uses imperial instead of metric unit systems, I'm Canadian, but because you're country has so much power through media and other things, we kind of picked it up too...

Unfortunate really, metric is so much more organized...

For purposes of aesthetics, 1 stud = 1 foot. A robloxian would then be 5 feet tall, etc. However, Roblox claims their physics engine operates under the principle that ~20 studs = 1 meter, which looks ridiculous but I just work here.
