"Theres a great book on amazon cowbear16 wrote it"
I wouldn't recommend that book, as it covers coding in a really crappy manner and is filled with piles of grammar errors.
Instead, use the Roblox Wiki by typing "wiki.roblox.com" in your url bar. |

| @nate, your statement is entirely true. I bought it on kindle and didn't understand anything. Also half of it was copied from the Wiki. |

It's just a shame that Roblox actually kind of advertised it (not intentionally) by mentioning it at an Roblox Game Conference, if I am not mistaken.
Not that I'm jealous, or trying to be mean the author, but it's really not a good book at all and people are going to by a book recommended by Roblox and find out that it's filled with tons of grammar errors (capitals where capitals shouldn't be, dashes where dashes shouldn't be, commas are needed in lots of places, some spelling errors, and some sentences make sense, while there is a better way to logically write them) and therefore doesn't make any sense and was a complete waste of money, or time if you read the whole book.
"Also half of it was copied from the Wiki."
I'm not aware of him copying any syntax or wording from the wiki, pobably because I didn't check, but I know that a lot of what he included in his book could be found on the wiki... and in a much better fashion, too. |

| One good thing about the grammar errors is you can't just copy... |

I appreciate the untimelydoctor's comment.
I would have to say that most of the people who read my book have much different opinions.
By this point, the grammar errors have been fixed. Seeing as I was and still am a teenager when I published the book, my grammar is not perfect. Plus, the cover means nothing, and it isn't that bad, I had to do it in ways to go along with ROBLOX's copyright. The manner that it covers content is meant to be simple, maybe you did not understand it because it was too simple or even too hard for you. People learn in different ways.
To address one thing you said,"(capitals where capitals shouldn't be, dashes where dashes shouldn't be, commas are needed in lots of places, some spelling errors, and some sentences make sense, while there is a better way to logically write them)". I would have to say that you must not have even touched a copy of the book. My guess is that your not even a grammatical person. For one, I know better than to capitalize words, and they were strategically capitalized if a keyword that was once bold. Many history books use this tactics. Second, commas are optional and based on opinion, ask your english teacher.
None content inside of the book is not copied from the ROBLOX wiki, you could even check. So, please do not make this statement.
If you do not understand it, try reading it slower, sometimes code takes a little while.
Just so you know, it was only recommended by them because they read it, and they had positive opinions.

I hope this addresses a lot of your complaints and teaches you to do the research before making them. |

""Anger and jealousy can no more bear to lose sight of their objects than love." George Eliot"
Why are you stating that? I didn't say anything here to offend you, so please don't take anything offensive. Thanks.
"I hope this addresses a lot of your complaints and teaches you to do the research before making them."
Obviously I would, wouldn't have said what I said with no evidence, just because I'm not that kind of person. What evidence? The few pages of the book available on amazon, whether it differs from what you release.
Saying that my reading is actually wrong because I pointed out some errors is quite wrong, really. Because, again... As I've already said, I wouldn't say that, or anything for that matter, if I did not have sufficient evidence. I myself, am no editor, but I can find grammar errors just like anyone else could.
For instance (this is just what I saw on another quick glance,) you capitalized "Lua Programming", and then I see "over-night", or even "free-to-play". For grammar errors, here's one: "Setup as the container of the ROBLOX Lua programming language a script."
As I've stated before, I'm not trying to insult you and nor am I jealous (so please don't assume that.) If anything, congratulations on the book and the publishing. But for future reference, you should ask for a reviewer to review the book before publishing the book *especially if you're planning to sell it* |

Saying that makes me look more bad than it makes you look. You're misinterpreting everything. No need to start an argument. |

How would I not take offense to anything you just said.
Terms like "free-to-play" are supposed to be hyphenated, and I capitalized certain words to coordinate with other key terms and such. |

Good for a complete beginner to a novice (If novice means what I think it does, it shuld mean lower than amateur? ;o) Still cool how a teenager published a book, ;P I would suggest making another one, on an intermediate level, then advanced C: |

I'm limited to like 10 pages, alright? I based my opinion on what was limited in content.
I'm entitled to my opinion. If I payed $6.99 or $15.00 for a book and it got to the point where there was stuff that I couldn't read, I would not be impressed at all.
Secondly, I'm not insulting you directly. I'm not insulting your spelling skills, either, because no one is perfect. This is why we have reviewers (or editors.) Even giving the book to your friend or your dad and getting them to edit would have been a good idea and those errors wouldn't exist.
Fortunately, we live in a democratic society, so I'm allowed to base opinions on what I think it good or not; that doesn't officially mean it's good or not. However, those who do this without sufficient evidence are those you can look upon, I gave you evidence to why I thought there were grammar errors, even in direct quotes. |
