I have played the HD collection on the PlayStation Vita. Although, I also plan on replaying it on the PS3 when I get the HD collection, since it comes with Peace Walker, whereas the Vita did not.
I personally loved the game. It had the balance between cutscenes and gameplay perfect. The cutscenes were not tedious, but also allowed the user to interact with the scene. Such as zooming in by pressing on the screen, and the ability to hold R to see a first person view of the event (Where applicable).
For first time users, the controls may be very different and confusing, but playing around a little will quickly get the user used to the controls. However, this is not a problem if the player has played Metal Gear Solid 2, as it provides them with experience in the controls.
The music for the game was also very nice, and added great atmosphere, along with emotions when they were required. If you have played Metal Gear Solid 3, you will know that the end song is very emotional for the player. The sounds that come through are also great. The environment is great with sounds turned on, been able to hear enemies, and their conversations.
I also like how the game gives players freedom in how they wish to complete the mission that they have been assigned. You can either go through in stealth, leaving traps if you think they are needed. Or you can go for a more head on nature, although this results in "Alert", or "Evasion". Even after that, you have to go through "Caution". Overall, this game is fantastic, and I strongly recommend anyone that bothered to read this to play it.
If you can't be bothered to read this, then you're a lazy child, and don't deserve the knowledge. |
