Waiting. Waiting. Waiting. You wonder how much your client had paid to have your little underwater sub constructed. A lot, you guess. Your instructions were etched into the side of the submersible. "Neutralise the Aristocrat by the name of Wolfe and his family staying in his sea-villa.". And that's it. Payment upon completion as always by your most valued clientèle, signed the "Giver" at the end of each of his thank you letters enclosed with increasingly large amounts of currency. Now back onto the job. You're in your sardine can, cruising towards the amazingly large and wide boat which can pretty much be classified as its own town. You have a selection of equipment you can bring on your venture. (PICK A COMBINATION OF 5 OF THESE) A dagger, another dagger, a crossbow , a grappling hook, a chloroform rag, a bolt action sniper, a few grenades, a disguise kit, an optical focus lens, a purse of coins and two spring razor traps.

I take a dagger, a crossbow, a disguise kit, a bolt action sniper rifle, and an optical focus lens.

You are close. You familiarise yourself with the map. You know you won't be able to get onto the ship legitimately in fear of being caught, but there are multiple "routes" you could take. You could climb up the anchor chain and gain access to the lower maintenance deck which is vastly populated by many a drunk greasemonkey. You suppose that if you could somehow disguise yourself as someone important; someone that wouldn't need credentials to get onto the ships you could covertly gain entrance to the main civilian population accommodation and high street, but how long would it be until someone recognised your disguised form? You think you could also grapple onto the deck from the roof of your submarine if you had a grappling hook.

I look around, and when I'm sure nobody will see me, I begin my climb up the anchor chain.

( You were in a submarine, going to the boat-city, but alright :P)

The anchor chain is quite slippy with all of the algae and seaweed draped off of it. You slip about halfway up the shaft and you absail with your hands gripped on tight to the chain, cutting them up as the barnacles rip through them before you gain your grip again. Shrugging it off, you make your way back up and you realise that there are two decks you could follow the chain up. The lower maintenance deck or the higher maintenance deck. The lower deck is far less populated, but it's the best place to start if you want to familiarise yourself while the higher deck bears a larger presence of grease monkeys and a higher risk of being seen but it also would shave a lot of time off of your mission due to its proximity of the civilian deck.

My "most valued client" can wait a little bit longer if he really wants this man dead.
I take the lower maintenance deck.

Upon falling off the anchor rather ungraciously, you realise how badly your hands took a beating. It might be pretty hard to control your hands motor movements, and escaping ravenous cybernetically augmented luting for blood Bloodhounds might be a bit more of a chore considering. Upon looking around, the initial room you exited the anchor from, there are a multitude of maps of the lower deck and upper decks, assorted maintenance tools and a half eaten twinky sprawled across a workbench in the corner of the room.

I'll take that twinky in case I find some poison. The grease might be poison enough.

I take a look at those maps.

There are 6 maps in total, detailing every single deck minus the upper suites. These decks include the lower maintenance deck, the higher maintenance deck, the workforce accommodation, the docking station, the market sector, the lower and upper civillian decks. You assume that your target and your target's families must be in the deck above that one. Perhaps even the penthouse.

I take every map I can. Knowing the layout of these decks will be very helpful.

After taking the maps, I listen for anything that might mean trouble before moving up the deck.

You hear an echo of footsteps hammer past the door down the metal hall. Lucky you listen out instead of walking straight into the prowler's view. From what you can hear, they've made a turn and you realise there is nothing more that could spot you for a while. Upon exiting the room, there are two directions you could take. Right or left, although alternatively there is a vent above you which could lead to anywhere.

It's very dim within the vents, and you can't see much. But you can see a flickering light about 150 metres down the straight shaft. You can hear... what seems to be laughter and merrymaking, and a large thumping sound with a variety of m0ans. Zombies...? You think that you could get a closer look but you fear that the vent would creek and alert them of your presence. You think to yourself that some of your equipment might come in use here.

After using your optical focus lens you derive that, after 5 minutes of watching shadows, that you will lead yourself into a brothel of some kind where you could be seen quite easily but due to its shady nature; you could also pass through while pretending to be a patron which would ofcourse require a disguise. Do you turn back or push ahead?

Observe some more to see if there's a reason to go inside. Objects, people, an easier way to get to my target, anything like that.

(Is the disguise kit reusable?)

(Yep)

You see that most people are distracted, while there is a door leading to the public stairs to the higher deck, which you know of due to your maps. There is a large bar and table to the right, and the "working spaces" of the girls to your left and right the first 10 metres into the room. You realise that everyone is busy, or has their back to you and you are free to move through.

I'll see if I can walk through, not doing anything to draw attention to myself, over to public stairs to the higher deck.

After 150 metres of clambering through the vent, you come to the exit. Without any disguise you slip out the event casually like a patron finished with one of the brothel's employees. It seems you've forgotten that you're clad in black leather and adorned my more weapons than many of these people have seen in their lives. As you bite your lip and make your way to the door, many heads turn. Although after a second of thought in their drunken state, they turn back around to their normal activities. But there are one or two that stare, one of them exiting the room before you make your way through. You exit the room to the public stairs, to find 2 guards with their weapons drawn waiting for you.

(Forgot to mention: If you've ever played Dishonored, you may remember that there were powers in it. That is all.)

Oh, well. I've been getting rather bored anyway. I suppose I'll just have to slaughter everyone. Would their hands happen to be armored, by any chance?

(I've played dishonored. I completed it being as good as possible, albeit murdering Havelock that SOB. And their hands aren't armored. Powers are for later.)

The guards immediately shout at you. "DROP YOUR WEAPON!", "SHOW US SOME ID!", one of them raises his sword and the other draws his flintock.

(I'm on The Loyalists still on my low chaos save. I made a high chaos save a couple days ago. Way more fun.)

"That's a nice gun you have there. A flintlock, correct? I've always wanted one."

Fire two bolts at both their hands. The hands that they use to hold their weapons.

Due to their alert state, you only manage to get one of them in the hand and graze the one with the gun in the leg. While guard one drops his sword, the other in pain moves his left arm to clutch his knee while accidentally shooting. His gun's shot sound is muffled while the bullet passes through his arm into the side of your abdomen. It lodges on the surface due to its slow pace and could be easily pulled out. But it's extremely painful nonetheless. The guards are readying themselves for another assault.

"AHHHG! GOD!" I fumble around, trying to get the bullet out while halfheartedly attempting to fire a bolt at the guard with the flint lock's head.

The bullet falls out in a spurt of blood while the bolt shoots out of your crossbow and impales the flintock guard's head. The other guard is seen to be dying with his artery ruptured and spurting out all over the place. Surely if this man isn't disposed of quickly, he'll sceam out. But if those bodies aren't moved and the blood cleaned up someone might notice that something's wrong, plus your wound is more serious than you might've initially thought. It might be wise to take some time to clear this situation up.
