There's no doubt that eventually this list will change, since it's only 2012, I just wanted to make this list just 'cause I feel like it.
5: Not Afraid by Eminem - 2010 Overrated? Yes, very. Bad song? Not at all. I haven't heard a good Eminem song since I think Like Toy Soldiers, so it's good to see that he's finally making good catchy songs again like he used to. The only other songs I've heard from Recovery is Seduction and No Love, which I thought were okay, but Not Afraid was pretty much the highlight of the album I think.
4: Grenade by Bruno Mars - 2010 I don't care what anyone says, Bruno Mars is probably one of the best singers I've heard among all the other stuff on pop radio. When I first heard this song on the radio, I didn't think much of it, but it really has grown on me over time. I don't know if I'll listen to the entire album that it's on, but you never really know.
3: This Is Gonna Hurt by Hoobastank - 2012 I have to say, after Every Man for Himself, I was starting to lose hope in Hoobastank. For(n)ever is what I think was their worst album to date, and as soon as I heard they were making a new album this year, I wasn't really pumped for it at all... that is, until I heard This Is Gonna Hurt. When I first heard it, I was shocked to say the least, they actually sound like they're returning to their roots after so long, and I'm very pleased to hear that.
2: If Not Now, When by Incubus - 2011 I'll be honest, I was a little scared to listen to this album, because I thought it was going to suck. Even though I am a huge fan of Incubus to this day, I think that Light Grenades was probably their worst work yet. Sure, there were some good tracks on that album, but they weren't as good as their previous works. But as soon as I heard If Not Now, When, I was relieved to hear that it was a really good song, and I instantly downloaded the entire album and have not regretted it since then.
1: Victimized by Linkin Park 2 words: Holy Carpet. This song blew me away the first time I heard it, this is without a doubt the heaviest song from Linkin Park since QWERTY or the Meteora era. Before the album came out, there was a rumor going around the internet that Victimized was the heaviest song on the album (which it is), and I think during the entire month before the album got released I struggled to try to find anyone that leaked the album, just so I could hear that one song. Eventually I saw it pop up on YouTube, my first reaction was "oh this is probably fake", and as soon as I clicked on it, I was in for a big surprise. I am a little disappointed that it's not even a 2 minute song, but at the same time, relieved to hear that Linkin Park's still got it. |

@Gamefreak: It's not preference, the music is just plain bad.
Why was this list even made? None of these songs are any good at all. |
