[TL;DR warning: this is long, if you arent gonna read all of it, dont read any of it, and dont post.]
This is by no means an official document, it is an idea and a suggestion to be reviewed by members. This is an explaination of a government system that would be far more effective that the complex series of ranks and subranks currently in use.
The republic will consist of three ruling parties, the presidential, legislative, and military. The presidential part is the leader, who has the ability to veto actions taken by either of the two parties. however, if both parties support an action, a veto is not accepted. the legislative part consists of 5 consuls whos job it is to handle non-combat activities, such as finances, recruitment, building, and clan relations. Each consul is in command of one of the five divisions: Finances Relations Building Advertisement and Design Public Education
The military party branch in in charge of raids, defense, trainings, propoganda, and also contains a relations branch so that each part has a relations officer for their best intrests. for instance, if the legislative party wants to be peaceful towards a clan but the military insists hostility, they both have a representative. The military branch consists of five consuls as well, with one controlling each division: Strategy Defense Relations Training & Preparedness Weapons Development
when a bill is suggested, atleast three of the five legislature in both legislative and military parties must accept a bill for that bill to be voted a yes or no by that party.
Ranks are as follows: ___________________________Grunt ranks Private Private First Class Corporal Lance Corporal Corporal First Class Sergeant Staff Sergeant Master Sergeant Sergeant First Class ____________________________ from here on are the officer ranks.
Second Lieutenant First Lieutenant Lieutenant First Class Captain Major ____________________________from here on are the highranks
Colonel [may represent a legislative consul vote] General [may represent a military consul vote] Military Consul Legislative Console Chairman [or president]
Upon reaching Corporal rank, members have to select a division to join in order to advance to Lance Corporal. Consuls all have the ability to promote members, but only those who are in the party they control. for instance, a military consul cannot promote a member who is in a legislative branch. The original constitution would undergo minor design changes to conform to this system.
Please comment any suggestions or ideas, and wheter you like the system or not.

I actually asked if I could have a position of finance/economics in UCR the other day, as I do GCSE Economics and excel at such things. I'm also aiming to help with Public Education/Training/Group Improvement.
Currently I'm an Intellect 1.
I like the idea, but I believe it should incorporate more of the current system we have in place. |

To be honest I would probably vote against this particular system. It reminds me too much of the United States Cabinet and Three Branch System. We, UAF, are not trying to completely turn into an imitation of the U.S. Not that the U.S. is bad of course, we just don't want to be their copy.

I like the idea you have in mind and I especially like the idea of parties and one person to represent one (lets just say) sub division under the party. I think you should include privileges for each rank, as I think there are too many ranks in the Grunt section that people may get bored of being in the lower ranks for too long. Especially as there are not as many high ranks in the British timezone, some may be stuck under the lower ranks for a while. So maybe like at the rank of Staff Sergeant you could be able to observe trainings ready for when you get to high ranks or something. That was just a quick example off the top of my head.
Overall I like the idea and would like to see it in the future time. ~Captain Butter |

It's relative to some US systems. You would not be getting a vote from me. Bad choice. driving llama |

| It is well thought out, and a good concept, however, how easily integrated can it be, and how would this idea's pros and cons weigh up against the pros and cons of our current system? |

pros: easily understood more efficient ranking system more specialized divisions a working financial system nobody begging for design and intellect rank legitimate voting system ranks can only be achieved if you do your specialized task better communication amongst similar divisions divisions are less independent and can be looked over (look what happened to PT)
cons: we will have to get off out butts and change alot of stuff not much else i can think of |

| I like the current system of ranking up because it allows more diversity: Intellectuals and Designers have a better chance at a higher rank than ever before. However, I LOVE the idea for a consulate. |

@pie with this system, all specialties are considered equal, your chances for ranking as intellect are the same as for finances or combat. |

'Grunt', sounds demeaning

its an army term for ranks below that of the army officers, its not demeaning. |

Besides, I put in an amendment that high ranks can put a member on one-month probation (No asking for rank-up) if they beg. Also, we need the Design and Intellect Ranks; there are still far more Combat Is and IIs than either of those. Lastly, I think that this is less original than our current system; the diversification is good, and I'd they beg, demote them.
