| WEIRDEST MOVIE EVER but it was also the most AWESOME MOVIE EVER!!!! this movie was so weird and it sorta gave me the creeps but i love it so much! i don't know why it's just genius the whole button eye idea. if u have ever seen or read the book coraline then u know what im talking about if u haven't then there's no point in reading this post. :| but ya ever since i watched it i have become OBSESSED with it!!! and i don't know why! i love the whole creepy idea of getting a needle and sewing thread and putting buttons into a little girl's eyes. it's just pure GENIUS!!! u can also look at what i think about both the movie and book coraline by looking at my older post called book aginst movie: coraline. :D but ya even though i love the movie i will admit i got nightmares the night after i watched it...i watched it by myself in the dark at midnight. O.O...i also read the book in my bed before i went to sleep... |

| I haven't even seen it, I can tell from the trailer it's kind of weird and plotless. I mean, it's a movie about sewing buttons to some poor CGI kid's eyes. Maybe I expect too much from movies, or maybe it's just because I saw the first two original Star Trek movies the other day and my standards are still too high. |

| ya it's very weird but actually coraline has a way deeper meening to it tht most people don't rly understand. They didn't mention the deeper meening in the movie or else it wouldn't be rly for kids... |

| @construx, the movie is made in stop motion, not cgi. |

yes it is stop motion and yes it does have a deep meaning to it, too. The other mother actually is h3llspawn and she was created by morphing a spider, sewing products, and a woman to create her. she found the other world and decided to use it to lure little kids in to sew the buttons into their eyes. when the buttons are in the eyes, they are now part of the other world and can't leave. when the other mother gets bored of them, she eats their bodies and throws away their souls. she actually only lives off of kids bodies for food and she needs to eat them every 100 years. the doll that Coraline got was actually a spy so the other mother could stalk her.
ya very creepy story behind the movie. actually, some parts of the deeper meaning are mentioned in the movie in certain parts, but only very few times. even though it is creepy it's a very good movie and book and it will always be my fav, no matter how weird it is. |
