We have new, more permissive rules. It seems that we are now able to discuss all manners of coding. Also, Sorcus has been declared king, I'm glad it is official.
Discus interpretation of new rules. |

If it is a question, it should only be asked if research, and not experience (mundane experience, that is), is required to answer it, and the research should not be 'what libraries, what software, etc." but should be of substance (e.g., optimizations / names of algorithms / implementation, examples of places which accomplish something, etc).
If it's a post, it should be design specifically to illicit the above sort of discussion, OR, present information to be appreciated or analyzed which is highly related to either successfully created Roblox games or universally applicable fundamental to scripting which are nontrivial and, as stated before, require specific research to share. |

| If it's a statement* the second should read, or, more generally, any expository/informative post. |

| I saw she said no links or images of any kind. Does this include links to the roblox site and images that've been uploaded to roblox.com? |

It doesn't include that. But having a signature that does that, is unacceptable. For example, I think sirsavary's signature to be ridiculous and annoying, because even if he replies with a single word, he has this full sentence signature. That is distracting. But its still okay with the rules.
Also, code is ROBLOX lua. Maybe, lua in general. This vs That posts are unacceptable. Asking how to do something in C++ is unacceptable, because stackoverflow can answer that question, in a much better and correct fashion.
If you can google for a question, it doesn't belong in this forum.

Butbutbut we like to discuss some non-Lua stuff D:
In that case can you mods/admins do the grace of making a technology/computers forum? |

| That would be nice, if books get a subforum, I would approve of a tech/general programming forum. |

"If you can google for a question, it doesn't belong in this forum."
That statement, just that statement, just that single statement. Add it to the sticky. Please. Hack the HTML code and make it flashing red, with a 5x bigger than normal font. |

I can google any question though. Make it more specific. "If you can find the answer by searching for the question, it doesn't belong. If your post does not require any respons, it does not belong".
Also, while we're talking about the rules, let's fulfill one of the more specific ones.
Let's start the Sorcus homage session now...
In fact, Let's start with some Sorcus Haiku's.
Sorcus is great a moderator power Refrigerator

@Quenty
Let's just settle on that questions, no matter if the answer can be found on Google or not, are not allowed in this forum.
99.9999% of all questions that would be posted in this forum are either bad for this forum or such that you can find the answer on Google. |

No, for two reasons:
- It has more than one line. - It contains a link. (yes, it's an on-site link, but it's still against the rules in a signature) |

Okay, number two is understood. But I keep the dashes so people know it's seperate from my post. Why can't I do that?

| Signatures are silly, I don't think we care or need to know that you use SH, BH, GD, and Scripters. If your posting there then it's pretty obvious. |

In case you didn't notice, your signature in that post was bigger than the post itself. |

What's to discuss if the only thing acceptable to discuss has to be related to Lua? That's like... 99.99% of interesting stuff that we can't discuss.
I call for a debate for manly men. |
