Because, I am typing out code and when I get something wrong, I paste the code from the Wiki to see what I did wrong and improve upon it, just like I do with spelling.

Well I delayed until now, I'm attempting to make games that are more than just cool building with C-frame or Obbies that are ridiculously easy to make.
I want to make a scripted game in some way with my own effort, it's just difficult when I can't script and only dream, so I am doing so now. I just got finished with
local brick = Workspace.Brick
- function onTouch.(part) Brick.Transparency = 1 wait (1) Brick.Transparency = 0
end
brick.Touched:connect onTouch
Oh fun c: |

@Rikerwatts try script.Parent.Touched:connect(function()
It's easier than this:
function onTouch()
[Code]
WHATEVER.Touched:connect(onTouch) |

Does that allow me to make the code shorter and save me some time? |

Ah I see. I'm getting confused, looking at more advanced scripts whilst learning basic. It's kind of hard when i see a script that is spaced out like
local brick = Workspace.Brick function onTouch(part) brick.Transparency = 1 wait(1) brick.Transparency = 0 <-- these three lines have spaces, and that confuses me O.e*** end brick.Touched:connect(onTouch) |

Haha, great to hear ! =)
I, myself have learned in time. My teacher is theRal.
You should really try to learn some GUI basics, so you can make something cool / useful.
My first GUIs I've made:
http://www.roblox.com/Building-Tools-GUI-item?id=95512042
Very helpful if you are going to build with friends / make a building game.
http://www.roblox.com/Path-GUI-V-0-1-item?id=95421401
An easier version of "Path givers" on a GUI, some colors miss due to me being lazy.
http://www.roblox.com/Path-GUI-V-0-1-GIVER-For-Obby-item?id=95443726
Gives the Path GUI on-touch (Mostly for obstacle course winners, easy path giving GUI)
Have some fun with scripting ! |
