Nice.
Apocalytpic + Sci-Fi + Magic; Humanity is at a higher state of mind at the future, mastering the human brain and learning magic. The future advanced with technolgy roaring, humanity encountering many types of alien races. One race goes to war with humanity and drops nuclear warlords on earth. Kaboom. Yes or no? |

| True, but they could of used a device to destroy it. By the means of one warlord destroying the shield and the other devastating earth. |

| True, but for this to work, you would have to explain that in the whole plot.. Then, things start gathering up. Why did the warlords attack? Why use nukes and things, when you could glass/blow up the planet? Can the aliens use magic? etc.. |

I'd say that the war was raging on for years and years in different planets and in space. The aliens destroyed the humans last fortress on Mars. That was close enough for the warlords to be launched, from there they launched it. The war could be over a dispute on lands in a far off planet. The Aliens wanted to claim it to drain the powers, the humans wanted to build more and more fortresses on it. The reason they chose the warlord was as the humans where in there last line of defense. They wanted to crush it.

Apocalyptic, Science Fiction, and Magic.
Humanity advances with the aid of the unexplained forces they can generate. Generators run through networks of electrical runes which supply power indefinitely, wars are fought with both guns and spells. Mighty space ships once traveled and fought within the far reaches of the solar system, magical engines propelling technological marvels. Humanity, rather than sticking to one linear path, blended the paths together. Technology and magic fused, each supporting and answering the questions of the other.
Inevitably, Humanity advanced too far. War broke out, as it often does. Due to the devices available to those waging the war, however, it was far more devastating than anything seen by Humanity before. No one can say for certain what triggered the ending Humanity gave itself. Some say mechanical constructs, others say magical viruses. Whatever warcrime it was doesn't matter now. What matters is that Earth, the largest Human population center and its homeplanet, went up in a nuclear fireball. Descendants of the survivors wander the surface, scavenging magical artifacts and ancient technology to aid in their continued survival. Altered and mutated beasts, remnants of a war beyond the minds of most alive today, thrive on this hellish surface, and fight with the surviving Humans for land and resources.
Some Humans have taken to technology. Others, magic. Some prefer to fuse both, or stray from all and remain savage tribal beings. It has been hundreds of years since the war, but the world is no less dangerous. In fact, with the slow return of Humanity, one could say it is becoming even deadlier. |
