[This is a free world RP. However, you are not allowed to make up random cities, places, landmarks, etc. In order to learn about these cities, landmarks, bays, and more, you must ask Non-Player Characters (NPCs). NPCs will be controlled by either me or a moderator of the RP.]
And NO. You do NOT have to read every little bit and piece of this page.
INDEX ~{ Character Creation }~ [1.1] - Races [1.2] - Professions [1.3] - Traits [1.4] - Character Sheet ~{ Stages }~ [2.1] - Passive Profession Stages ~{ Groups & Communities }~ [3.1] - Factions ~{ Ancients }~ [4.1] - The Ancients [4.2] - The Highworld [4.3] - The Deepworld ~{ Rules }~ [5.1] - Rules ~{ Miscellaneous }~ [6.1] - Moderators and Collaborators
[1.1] - Races Human - Humans are free-spirited. They do whatever they wish, which creates a vast range of personalities. However, Humans tend to be lazy. They stand between 5'6" and 6'0" tall. Humans have an average build.
Automatons - Automatons are basically machines or robots. They were created by Machinai, the Anciente of Inventing. Machinai's original purpose for the Automatons was to create a world where she was the ruler. Rexregumus, the Ruler of the Ancients, however, would not allow this. Instead, he placed the Automatons on an island created by rocks from the Highworld. They lived here for several centuries, until Machinai created thousands of boats to send them to the rest of the world. Automatons are often made of copper, brass, or iron. Many of them are imperfect, and have exposed gears, wires, and joints. Some of the rich Automatons were able to afford more parts and repairs. They vary in shape and size, though most follow a general humanoid pattern. Automatons are usually extremely strong in physical combat. Magic has a dampened effect on their metallic bodies, though this is a double-edged sword. They are irresilient to the elements, which counteracts their magical resistance should they be attacked by, for instance, a wall or water or a ball of fire. Nevertheless, they are formidable advsersaries; A middleman of an Automaton is capable of presenting a threat at close range to even the enigmatic human paladins.
Amphibolys - Amphibolys are amphibious creatures. They look similar to humans, but have green to blue skin and fins for hair. Amphibolys stand between 5'4" and 5'10". They were created by Aecor, the God of the Ocean. Their purpose was to make sure the ocean was in order. Originally, they were only able to breathe underwater. However, possessed by their curiosity, they crawled onto the land. But because they could not breathe oxygen, they died. Aecor saw this and was given permission to make them amphibious. Being borne out of the depths, they excel at all water attacks as well as slight ice resistance. Naturally, fire is their major weakness. Pyromancers and desert regions present a significant weakening of an Amphibolys' powers.
Forentutem - The Forentutem are strong, well-built creatures. Their name, in Latin, is a combination of the words "fortis", meaning strong, and "iuuentutem", meaning "bodied". Forentutii were created by Rexregumus to protect the Humans, as they were one of the weaker races. Forentutii stand between 6'2" and 6'10". They have enormous, muscular bodies. Few races posess the raw power to face a Forentutem head-on. A properly-placed strike from a Foren soldier can crack through stone and metal. This enormous strength is negated by their intelligence, which usually assures that their armies' tactics are nothing much more or a direct head-on assault. Shunning magic as dishonourable in combat, they have no experience in the art.
Umbraten - The Umbraten is a shadowy creature. It appears as a 3-dimensional silhouette. They have no color, but they can take the form of anything, or anyone, they see. However, they must come into contact with the object or being they want to morph into. In addition, the object or being must not notice the contact. With objects, this is not a problem, as they have no life. With beings, Umbratens must find another way. For this reason, they are known for following their targets throughout the night, waiting for them to fall asleep. Umbraten were created by Nox, Ancient of Night.
Nitidu - Nitidu are an elegant race. They often have pale green skin and leaves or roots for hair. Their name, in Latin, means "polished, elegant, refined". They were imperfect when they were made by Rexregumus. However, Alitura, the Anciente of Nature, could not leave them as imperfect. She improved them and made them the closest to perfect than all the other races. Nitidu stand between 5'4" and 5'8". When Rexregumus heard of this, he grew angry and immediately ordered Alitura to return them to their original state. Alitura obeyed his command, reluctantly, and made them a sort of 'leaf people'.
Piusentia - Piusentia are essentially saints. They were sent down from the Highworld by Rexregumus to encourage people to worship the Ancients. Piusentia appear as glowing humans. They have wings, but they are not the average wings on angels. Piusentia wings are made of several rapidly spinning, transparent, gold rings. Piusentia stand between 5'10" and 6'4".
[1.2] - Professions Each character can have up to 2 passive professions and 1 combat profession. Each passive profession has four stages: Apprentice, Journeyman, Expert, and Master. [2.1] - Passive Profession Stages You may be wondering what I mean by this. Basically, I'm talking about the 'levels' of certain professions. It'll make more sense when you read it.

Criminals (Thieves) [Stage 1] - Thief [Stage 2] - Bandit [Stage 3] - Outlaw [Stage 4] - Wanted

[3.1] - Factions Factions play an important role in the role-play. All characters start within the Neutral faction, and as they learn more about each faction, they may decided to join one.e. Factions can provide protection, armies, supplies, and more, depending on the character's loyalty.
[3.1 - A] - Major Factions There are three major factions. Divitaeus - The Divitaeus faction believes the world would be better if everyone was wealthy. They feel that if everyone had money, there would be no wars, as everyone would be equal. Each of their members are given large amounts of gold, and they are free to do whatever they wish with it. However, they must make money as well. Because of the large amounts of money they give out, the Divitaeus faction is mostly made up of Thieves and Bounty Hunters, to steal money from outsiders.
Pietas - The Pietas faction believes the world would be better if everyone was religious, and praised the Ancients. They believe that the Ancients would grant wealth, power, and prosperity to the world if they received more prayers. Because of this lifestyle, the Pietas faction is mostly made up of Clerics and Paladins. They are not as wealthy as Divitaeus, but the Ancients tend to favor this faction more often.
Proelium - The Proelium faction believes the world would be better if there were more wars. They take the phrase "Survival of the fittest" literally. They feel that if there were more wars, battles, and fights, the weak would be killed and the strong would rule. Proelium members believe that would make sure that a weak, unexperienced ruler would never be elected or rise. The Proelium faction is mostly made up of Warriors and similar professions.
Neutral - The Neutral faction is made up of several types of people: The ones who can't make up their mind, the one's who don't really care, those with different beliefs, or those who feel each faction is equally right.
[3.1 - B] - Minor Factions Minor factions are made up of either character made factions or the black market.
Black Market - A society of people that sell smuggled weapons, artifacts, etc. This group is mostly made up of adventurers, poachers, or thieves.
[4.1] - The Ancients The Ancients are the equivalent of the gods in this role play.

Aecor - The Ancient of the Ocean. His name means "level, ocean, sea" in Latin. Alitura - The Anciente of Nature. Her name means "Nourishing, nature" in Latin. Machinai - The Anciente of Inventing. Her name means "mechanical, machinery" in Latin. Pax - The Ancient of Peace. His name means "peace, truce, favor, grace" in Latin. Praelia - The Anciente of War. Her name means "battle, combat, fighting" in Latin. Aevus - The Ancient of Time. His name means "time, age, generation" in Latin. Zephyrus - The Ancient of Wind. His name means "wind, zephyr" in Latin. Lux - The Anciente of Day. Her name means "light, day, daylight" in Latin. Cinis - The Ancient of Ruin. His name means "ashes, ruin, destruction" in Latin. Inferna - The Anciente of Hell. Her name means "underworld, inferno, hell" in Latin.
[4.2] - The Highworld The Highworld is the equivalent of heaven in this role play.
[4.3] - The Deepworld The Deepworld is the equivalent of hell in this role play.
[5.1] - Rules Each rule must be followed. 1) No god-modding. This includes minor thing such as making loads of money after delivering one fish. Some events may occur where a man may be desperate to buy food, and will offer a high amount of gold. However, make these events rare or risk getting kicked out of the role play. God-modding also includes doing things that are not described in your race description. For example, Umbraten are not described as beings that can walk through walls. If you are unsure about the limits of your character, ask me, PurelyRandom, or a moderator. 2) No mary sues. This means no asking for or calling attention to your character through your character. You may ask to meet up with someone on the Out Of Character chat (OOC). 3) You are not allowed to make up places, landmarks, etc. To learn about cities, landmarks, etc., you must ask (Don't put anything in the "Misc.:" section of the character sheet) a Non-Player Character (NPC). NPCs are controlled by me, PurelyRandom, or a moderator. Usually I will control NPCs, as I know the world best. However, moderators may ask me about the world, and send that information to you. 4) You are allowed to make up certain NPCs. For example, you can control characters directly related to your character, such as your family. You can also control characters that are friends of your character or pets. Your NPCs are not allowed to know about the world, unless they too ask an NPC controlled by me or a moderator. 5) Just because a rule is not listed here, does not mean it's not a rule. If you are unsure about doing something, ask me, PurelyRandom, or a moderator.
[6.1] - Moderators & Collaborators Moderators receive special powers, which will be listed below. Collaborators do not receive special powers, but they do receive credit as they helped create this wonderful role play. This list may change.

Name: Caelum Universitas A/ge: 438 Gen/der: Male Passive Profession(s): Cook, Lumberjack Combat Profession: Artist Race: Automaton Bio: Caelum Universitas was created with the fifth generation of Automatons. His name Caelum Universitas means "Universal Happiness" in Latin. He was given this name because of his purpose. Machinai created him, along with the rest of the fifth generation, to bring universal happiness to Cipiclys. Because he was part of the fifth generation, he was created after Machinai created 1,000 boats for the Automatons. Caelum was immediately raised within the 'outside' world, and has never learned what life was like on Machinai's Islands. Appearance: Caelum is 5'11" tall. He was created to look similar to the average human, so he was created with a fairly slim build. However, his head is shaped like a skull, only metallic and slightly rusty. Most of his parts were painted white, but the color has begun to fade over the centuries, revealing his brass joints, gears, and other various parts. Caelum's eyes are white discs, surrounded by nothing. Because they are surrounded by nothing, you can see the inside of his skull through his eyes. Trait(s): Quick-Witted, Agile, Strategic Misc.: (Put something here) |

Caelum sat with his back against the wooden column. He was focused on his painting of three small, red devilish creatures. He called them imps. They had two torn wings and sharp talons.
After finishing the painting, he packed his painting supplies in a satchel. He packed his other belongings into a separate bag. As he got up, his joints rubbed stiffly together, causing a loud screech. Nobody looked his way, as they were used to this type of noise. Caelum stiffly walked over to the inn, where he had rented his room for the last few nights. |
