| oh, that's RAM, but 60gb of hard drive space will only get you a little bit more than that. |

If the purpose of your laptop is gaming, you should get your priorities straight.
With the money spent on that, you could probably build an amazing gaming rig. So why waste it on a laptop? |

Compared to my 2 terabyte memory, it's awful.
But for a decent laptop, it's good. ;)

>Mobility
With the weight of such a thing, not to mention the likely-horrendous battery life of such a laptop, the mobility is negated.
Trust me, just get a work laptop like a Lenovo Thinkpad to do your work and some light gaming. By the time you're in college (or even just in the later stages of high school,) you'll realize that regular work laptops are objectively much better. |

| As someone who at one point considered getting an expensive gaming laptop, I can say that objectively, they're not the best choice. |

>With the weight of such a thing
-my school backpack weighs 27 pounds, and i run with it
>not to mention the likely-horrendous battery life of such a laptop
-a power cable and an AC outlet isn't a difficult thing to hook up to
>the mobility is negated.
-better than a LAN party

my god; you've built yourself an absolute monster of a laptop.
I still WOULD get a desktop though. The 16GB RAM is just overkill, and you could get a desktop for somewhat lower price if you build it from scratch.
I will agree with Sonata-- I really don't think your going to be gaming a lot on the go, especially if you don't travel A LOT. Best to get a lighter laptop and build yourself a decent desktop. |

>Honestly believing that carrying a gaming laptop with all your other necessities at school is feasible Around the time high school hits, it isn't in the least bit.
>Battery life >Alienwares go for only like 3-4 hours My Thinkpad T430s can live for about 12 hour straight.
>Mobility is negated Again, from an objective standpoint, it is.
Why even pay for all the necessary specs for gaming when A. You can pay way less for a business laptop and still do a little bit of light gaming, and B. You can max out any game you please for the same price with a gaming rig? |
