HOW THIS WORKS: Numerous bills and issues shall be set on the 'table' for senators to vote on. WHO CAN VOTE: Only elected senators, and Chairmen who are officially of that rank in the Congress group. WHEN THEY CAN VOTE: 24 Hours from when this is posted, Senators can vote for the issues and post opinions. HOW THEY VOTE: Each law on the 'table' will be numbered. A Senator has the right to vote 'Yes' 'No' or 'Abstain' (Abstain is where you don't vote at all on the issue). For example, on the first law I might write '1.) Yes.' Senators and members may post opinions about the laws on the table. Laws up for 'EDIT' is not to be voted on, but is to be suggested on. For example: "1.) I suggest that 'Insert Quote Here' should be changed to 'Insert Here'" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BILLS/LAWS ON THE TABLE: Author (TheDarkDerek) Author of Edit (Corridon) Distribution of Public Salaries Bill Up for VOTE ON EDITS
1.) Rewrite it for the following:
Clause 1: It is the full responsibility of the Treasurer of the Sardalian Republic, to distribute monthly salaries to the members of our military. These sums may be rationed out of the Sardalian Treasury, based upon the profits coming into the treasury. It is the responsibility of Congress to give the Treasury a budget, and a number for the monthly salary.
Clause 2: No member may get salary benefits for being a member of the government. Members of Congress, or other government branches, get salaries based upon their involvement in the military, not by elected office.
Clause 3: No member may be discriminated, or not given the salary when asked, plainly on how much money he has earned through private enterprise.
Clause 4: Salaries may be collected in a two day period before, and until 'pay day', where each member is granted his or her monthly salary.
Clause 5: All salaries must be paid in in-game currency, known as Sardalian Dollars, ($D).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How to get a Law on the 'table': PM a Chairman to get a law that you have written on the 'Table'. If the Chairman decides not to put it on the 'table', a petition of 10 'signatures' of SR members may overrule it, and cause the law to go on the 'table'.
Oh, you should have posted it like this,
1.)
Then you should have put the exact edit you wanted in it. That way I know you are proposing edits. When I read the thread post, what you were saying looked more like a change you wanted Corridon to make to his edit. |
| Zeph, under my plan, government members would still get paid, except only if they are a part of the military. |
| So, Scooby, you're saying that if a General becomes a Senator, too, and maintains his activity as a General, he shouldn't get payed at all, as a punishment for being an elected official? |
That is what I just said. As long as the government members are in the military, they'll get paid according to their status in the military.
A.k.a., Government members won't get paid just for being in the government. |
| Basically saying that government members won't be paid, they'd only be paid for their service in the military. Not government. Therefore basically stating, only military members are paid. -_- |
| BY THE WAY. This bill does not guarantee that these members get paid. It just states HOW they will get paid. It does not state they are entitle to a salary. |
