| The Europeans did not know America was there at the time. Without Columbus, Europeans would not have come to America. The United States would be completely different without Columbus. |

| It might not have been the same Europeans. Different Europeans would mean different colonies. That could lead to a different country being formed, or maybe the other Europeans could not handle hostile Native Americans and left. |

| Your wrong at that time there was only 3 colonies who had acess to sail the ships chris was from genoa same place where erik grew up. and due to many complex things it was the only port in europe that allowed people to freely sail. |

Your again wrong @ above Alexander the great dating back to 353 BC was the first and the piris rese map in 1412 had EVERY part of the gobal mapped even though by people it was impossible to know but it was abulsutely correct which remains a ? how. |

Genoa wasn't a country then FYI It was a trading state, but it didn't have a central government and each territory governed themselves.
Norway is a little more than 400 miles north of Genoa, that is where Leif Eriksons heritage was from. Not an Italian trading thing. |
