What would you guys think if I made a GUI version of The Conquerors? Since it's made out of GUIs, I have much more power over what is going on, so there could be 8+ teams, with limits for unit types being ~20, with maps of any size at all. The GUI would be 2D of course, when you mouse over the land, it would tell you what height it is, since you can't tell from looking directly above. Unfortunately, the graphics would look much worse than in normal conquerors, but lag would be completely controllable. You choose the rendering size that works best on your computer.
Worth giving a shot? It's a lot of scripting.. |

| Pff, okay. The game could be extremely stuttery just like gijsbel11 said. |

| Games won't be able to handle a lot of frames. Wait until the optimize them. |

@Hat 100+ frames moving might not go so well in terms of lag. |

| If there isn't 100+ frames moving in a Gui version of Conquerors, then its not a Gui based game. |

| I don't need to have a single moving frame to make a GUI version. None of you know anything. |

I would yes. I think that GUIs are one of the best features on roblox. You have the most freedom on them. One of the best examples is already that you can use all colors. On bricks you can only use 64 which I think is a huge limitation.
And yes, even in terms of lag I would think its better to make a GUI version of your game - or at least - a good idea.
The only limitation we currently have is rotation. |

| @Buddy: Pong is a GUI based game and it has / can have less than 100 frames. *Sigh* |

@Jo Pong uses Gui Physics to move, the conquerors would have little tanks, unless he made it cheap like and you just clicked buttons... |

@Hat, You came here without telling us any details, just that you'd use a gui, so we would assume it'd be like the real conquerors, where the units travel to the bases. |
