| In order to have a good story and overall great RP, the GM needs control. I'm assuming the trend is a trend set by the older kids on the forum though, as *generally* the younger kids are more likely to desire a free-roam attempt. Having a nice story helps keep interest and thus gives the thread a longer chance of survival. |

| Oh, and I probably should mention that while it helps, it doesn't guarantee it. The stories are naturally inhibited by the GM's story-creation abilities, adaptability, and dedication. |
