| Why do people think that socialism is directly related to communism? They're two completely different philosophies. |

| Well, America, socialism is an economical philosophy: it's not based on government. Democratic socialist nations can definitely exist. |

I'm being sarcastic. America has this thing about Democracy being the best; so we spread it around at the muzzle of a gun... I was making fun of that mindset. Please excuse my underdevoloped political mind. |

Eh... Democracy being the best is up for debate. People with little knowledge can vote (me in a couple years). Emotional momentum can slide voters to do stupid things (such as Athens attacking Sparta). And a sort of lack of fairness that comes with free market economy. |

| Life sucks without freedom, simple as that. I thought it was common sense but a lot of people have to be told twice and still don't get it. |

under extremely ideal conditions totalitarianism would be the most effective, efficient and fair.
of course, so would fascism. |

"Eh... Democracy being the best is up for debate."
the idea of democracy is the best. it however is not practical.
"People with little knowledge can vote (me in a couple years)."
people with little knowledge tend to not vote.
"Emotional momentum can slide voters to do stupid things (such as Athens attacking Sparta)."
yes but you take that risk when you make everyone equal give them rights and allow them to govern themselves.
"And a sort of lack of fairness that comes with free market economy."
the free market is generally fair. however in america it has become stagnant with large companies buying out good ideas or competition. this can be fixed. |

in order to get the most efficient system you have to balance personal well bieng with societal well bieng.fascism and totalitarianism fail the first. |

i personally think a monarchy is the best and worst form of government
if the monarch is smart, they have complete control and can do anything they want and make their nation progress very quickly in a short period of time. however, when the current monarch in power is inexperienced, there are disastrous consequences |

if you had an incorruptible figure who is not swayed by religion or their own personal interests as the sole figure for the longest period possible, it would be superior to any other form of government
of course, this very, very rarely happens and the people tend to value their civil rights over their political "rights" |

| The philosophies of both communism and socialism are rational until they're applied to humanity. |
