This Poll is basically here to find out your opinion the following: Do Clans really need allies?
Feel free to answer the following questions:
[1.] Do you think that Clans absolutely need allies to maintain an efficient clan? [A] Yes, Allies are necessary to maintain an efficient clan. [B] No, Clans don't need allies to maintain an efficient clan.
[2.] Explain why you think this way.
[ Exceptions. ]
For people who chose [A] on Question 1, you may not provide the following as reasons:
1. You may not say that they help with raids, or defending your base. If your clan is competent, you don't need allies to defend your base for you.
Please be as detailed as you wish.

| I say no. My allies help my group a lot, but we'd be just as efficient without them. |

| It depends on the members of the group.. If you're strong, active, and numerous, no you don't need allies. If you're not all very skilled and such, which is the average case, you need allies to help. |

[A]
I do believe allies are only efficient if the clan is around 200-2.5k members. |

| @ Fizzlemaster. Be Specific. Do clans really need allies to build an active and efficient group; no matter what their size is. |

| You imposed a restriction on one side and deemed the argument invalid because you don't share the view. |

| It realy depends on a numberof factors. Clan relations can really help with your member numbers, and collaboration can benefit two or more parties. On the other hand, having allies can cause discipline problems and little power struggles. Exciting, I know.... |

The answer is yes and no. In other words, both.
First of all, Allies are there to help raid and defend. And nothing else. So don't try implying bias by saying that's not a reason.
Secondly, indeed, a clan is competent to raid and defend on its own. However, it is safe to have Allies defending their base on other servers, as a PRECAUTION, even though the enemy is only centralized on one server (most of the time).
Also, Allies provide slight fame, if it's a small clan that's on a Superclan's ally list, or something.
Other than that, they also provide tech, and other such things, that when you take a gun/uniform/logo/other that belongs to an ally, it's not "stealing" but a "diplomatic trade."
Also, Allies can come together to form coalitions, to centralize on an enemy, or to simply stay united.
However, even though my reasons above show that allies are necessary, they also don't have to be, if you're a clan like, for example, VAK. However, the loss of allies can lead to some negative aspects, when it comes down to taking on several clans. Hence why it's also a good move that VAK made the Dominion (even though it's not an alliance, it's similar and fits the same concept, of other clans helping out).

I 'imposed' the restriction, and deemed that argument invalid, because it is not a valid argument.
Perhaps it is small bias; however, I was planning to even out it and add a restriction on [B] but I was in a hurry and couldn't think of anything. |

[2.] Explain why you think this way.
I have lead clans and been HRs in clans for years. I have witnessed everything that alliances can do to a clan. Yes, they help with raids and wars, but if that is all an ally does then the ally is being used as a tool. Good alliances have the trading of technology, favors, great group relations, have fun, and become trustful of each other. Allies should be seen as fellow clan members. I have seen many successful groups that do EVERYTHING with their allies as if they were one group. Because of this I think alliances are important.

| No I don't feel that allies are NECESSARY to have a successful clan. Allies can be useful though. A truly loyal ally will help defend, attack, and keep your clan healthy and active. |
