That's why some teachers give a disclaimer before explaining the religion.

| I think they should just keep religion out of every single school system, and leave religion up to people for choice, so parents can't make their kids go to Catholic school or something, and in science class make it clear that some people do not have to accept the evolution part of class, so no drama is created. |

How about that the religious people leave those schools and take a religious school while those who want to learn the truth and anything that will help in life stay. Easy. Id you don't like it, get homeschooled or take a religious school. |

| It would be more beneficial if they teach both. Even if some people aren't followers of a certain belief, they could learn more about said belief and learn how to avoid offending anyone. |

i understand what you mean, but this isn't possible in public schools
and it would cause a greater gap between the two 'societies' |

Y'know. Some people should just be more open minded towards other religions. They should be tolerant, though not obliged to agree, to other ideas and peoples in order to survive in the world we live in today.

@bambam Not everyone is religious you nut. Again, if you don't like it, get home schooled, or go to a religious school. Public schools should not have anything about religion allowed. |

@aquaris. By no religion allowed in schools I mean not teaching religion in schools. You have to learn about the cultures of other societies, and that includes their religion(s). Not preaching to students or saying evolution isn't real because god says so. Or telling them to pray either. |

| That's pretty much anything. Anyways, nothing offends a religion as a religion does not have a mind. It can offend the members of a religion, but not all members would take offense. A good example is the priest that said that The Big Bang was fact during a debate on BBC on whether or not Creationism should be taught as fact in schools. |

@Space
Yeah, I see your point. However, I spent basically 9 years in a Catholic school before I switched to Public System for High School (Public Schools have better teachers), and I can tell you that NO school teaches religion in the sense that you described it.
Basically, religion subject at my school was just the ideals and good wills of God, Moses, the ten commandments, etc. They (the teachers and whoever planned the curriculum) still respect people's views and don't bash upon other teachings like people on Roblox think they do... |

Schools will have a diveerse people in there, and certainly alot of religious people. They might decide to put their religion aside in school and learn. But if they are like you, they should leave school. You would be ruining it for everyone, including the religious. Because some people want a education and the brains to compete with the world. |

"anything that has to do with or can offend religion"
for the first part. studying religions is indeed a viable path for education. for the second part yes lets not teach the truth because some people would get offended over it! for example the idea of evolution offends a great deal many people however this does not make it any less critical to education.
"ex. evoulution to christians, jewdisum to athiests"
#1 many christians believe in evolution (yes i know its contridictory) #2 learning about religion is not offensive
as for offense in generall. YOU DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO BE NOT BE OFFENDED! people getting offended happens and its NOT A GOD DAMN PROBLEM! simply because something offends someone does not make that thing bad.
"It would be more beneficial if they teach both. Even if some people aren't followers of a certain belief, they could learn more about said belief"
teach both of what? no public money should go to teaching religious classes other then history/physocological courses.
"learn how to avoid offending anyone."
who cares?

I don't know what a religious school is like. But if someone wants to learn religion they should attend a religious school. If they want a education they should take a public or a good private school.
