Chapter 1:
Introduction: Bootcamp.
Starlite Corporation was in trouble; it has been nearly 7 months since the war was engaged against the 101st. And the casualties reaches alarming sizes, X-101st suffered casualties, but always seemed to put another grunt in the front line, their hordes never ended. I was deployed into the battle after a short term in Medical school, I was set to be a surgeon after I took my doctors test, but The Planet of which I studied, Tavia; issued an emergency call to all Medical students and doctors who were also in the reserve, Medical soldiers where needed.
Within the course of a month, my life changed. I was told to pack my essential things and report to the front of the university first thing in the morning, with fear of being arrested for desertion, I did just that. When I got to the front gate of the school, I saw Starlite military standing alongside a few buses, A few medical students and myself where told to stand in formation, after a few seconds of shuffling we managed to follow the order. When we finally centered our attention on the soldiers, a man stepped forth, his uniform was dark, but it held strips of green, his boots looked to be recently polished, and his coat seemed to have been brushed off moments ago. He had a cold look in his eye, as if he had seen his mother get murdered, He adjusted his officers cap; then addressed the line.
“Good Morning Gentlemen, I am General LAAngels21; Commandant of the Medical Division of the Starlite Corporation, and as of today, your commander and chief. Gentlemen, you may have noticed we are at war, and we are losing soldiers fast. So it was in our best interest, in our planets best interest to recruit you all as medics. Now, Your lives are about to change.” Said the General. As he paced back and forth, his arm hoisted behind his back.
“You will be trained like soldiers, and on a shorter time limit, we need all the Doctors we can get on the frontline, as fast as we can. There is no room for error, and I won’t tolerate it! I honestly don’t care if you don’t know your rifle from your boot; come 4 months, you better be ready to fight the enemy, and save your men, or you, and you alone will be held accountable for the deaths of your fellow Tavian! Am I understood!?”
It took me a few seconds to process what this man just said, the other Medical students understood quicker and saluted him relcutantly and said “Yes, sir!” I instinctivly followed their move, unsure of what I had signed myself up for. The next 3 and a Half months are absolute torture for us, they broke us; our former selves, the fun was beat out of us and replaced with a cold expression, the books where removed from our hands and replaced with a rifle, and the smiles on our faces were removed, and replaced with a bloodlust, and an urge to kill. The last month of our training was the roughest; they stood us in a line, and one of the co-commanders of the Medical division of S,C paced infront of us, General Stardoctor0999 was the meanest of the commanders, we all knew why, but dared not mention it. General Stardoctor0999 lost his brother in combat, watched him lose his arm during a hand to hand battle with a hostile soldier 6 months prior to this training, they say the blood from his brother drenched Star completely red, The Hostile who killed his brother didn’t last long after.
Star paced quickly, a pistol in hand, until he randomly shot at a soldier outside of the Medical division, the soldier flopped to the ground with a loud scream, the bullet went straight through his femur bone as far as I could tell. He pointed at the Medical Division cadets one by one and asked us where he shot him, and how he could be treated. Most of the soldiers were to in shock to answer him correctly, until he reached me. “Cadet Mikekilla2, where did I shoot him and how can you treat him.” I looked at the General for a second then I looked at the soldier who passed out from the pain on the floor. Then I smiled and said. “You shot this man in the Femur Bone, a few inches above the knee This would need emergency surgery, but thanks to the femur being the strongest bone in the body, and you shooting him with such a weak pistol, he should be fine if he can be treated quickly, all that would happen would be he would have to walk with a slight limp.” For a moment everyone was silent, and then the General smiled at me and turned to his co-commanders who also smiled in approval, a few moments after that, I was made head of my garrison at boot camp, and promoted to private first class almost instantly. I was assigned as head Medical field soldier to bravo squad of company 12 Garrison 4. I was directly under a Harbringer, and a Colonel. We were flown into battle on a black bird. I sat on the edge of the chopper, my foot hanging, loose along the side when I heard the skin crawling sound, a heavy explosion about 3 meters to my left..

Chapter 2
The attack on the Capital city Part 1 of 4.
Even before I was fully enlisted, we all knew the war was bad. X-101st or ‘The Legion.’ As my platoon calls it, was bold, but the Jarheads on the front line always seemed to have them under control, but what happened nobody could have expected. The Explosion came from my left; my ear instantly began to have an eerie ringing that gave me a head ache, when I turned to look the tallest building in our capital, once the pillar of all life went crashing to the ground. The shockwave of the building collapsing sent our chopper out of control; fortunately the helicopter pilot was able to regain control. My squad looked on ahead in awe.
PFC.Darko21 clamped his hand on my shoulder and pulled me from my frozen terror. Out of all of the four people in my unit, he’s the most battle harden besides the Major. He served in two other wars, and would tell stories in the barracks of how he took a bullet for Major.AntwoneCurls and Antwone never even thanked him; Darko was laid out on a bed with a Medal of Honor while Antwone rose through the ranks. You could cut the tension between these two with a knife. You would think Darko would stay quiet whenever the Major passed by us and he was telling us the story, but it just stoned his nerves more and he would continue the story in a louder tone of voice.
“Pull it together House, we are going to need you, there could be survivors.” My squad has taken to calling me House, because I can diagnose a sickness; or a wound by a look. Like the doctor in the show House. I gritted my teeth and nodded at darko, gripping my Morita more firmly, I had a feeling I’m going to be using it soon.
There are four people in my Squad besides myself. Pfc. Darko21 Hes a Sub-Machine gunner. And the fastest on his feet, he is also by far the bravest of the squad, Pvt. Mattcool12345 Hes the demolitioner and destroy an entire city block with enough explosives and wire, glad hes on our side. Lt.skymaster114 Hes a swordsman, he usually conceals himself in the shadows, only to re-apear when it’s too late for you. And finally, Major.Robinisbest she is the only female in our entire platoon, and she doesn’t use that as an excuse for weakness; she will fold you in half at anything endurance, hand to hand combat, marksmanship, etc. You name it, she can win. Major.Robin ordered the pilot to land, and within seconds we were grounded. Darko was the first one out of the helicopter; he headed towards the center of the building, scavanging for survivors. Major. Robin ordered everyone else, except for me and darko to spread out along the capital and search for anyone suspicious, if found they are to be arrest, and if they resist, they are to be killed.
“Mike come here, I think I found someone.” Darko yelled from a distance, up until now I’ve been knelt over a dead man. A shrapnel piece of metal pierced his chest; he drowned in his own blood. I closed the poor civilian’s eyes, took a turn, and jogged toward Darko. When I reached him I looked down and saw the survivor he mentioned. The survivor is a buisness women, well renowed all over Tavia and Vaktovia, Her name is Sydney Eisenhorn. She was passed out from the pain I persume, a shard of glass was inserted into her forearm, and it went clean through, shattering the humerus.
I quickly went to work, I placed my head phones on, blocking out Darko with music. I was allowed music after I explained to the Generals I can only truly concentrate when Music is playing. The song playing in my Mp3 was Creedence Clearwater Revival; Bad moon rising. “I see the bad moon rising, I see troubles on the way, I see earthquakes and lightin’ I see bad times today.” I opened my tool kit, and pulled out the essentials I would need to save Sydneys life. I motioned for Darko to pull the shard out on my go. “Don’t go around tonight. Well. It’s bound to take your life. Theres a bad moon on the rise.” Darko pulled the shard out of the wound, it was bigger than I thought and most likely severed an Artery, I shout at darko to stick his finger into the wound to stop the bleeding while I retrieve the extra tools needed to stop the bleeding, he does just that. “I see Huricanes abowling. I know the end is coming soon. I fear rivers over flowing. I hear the voice of rage and ruin.” I shove darko away and began to Pour Acohol on the wound, the feeling the acohol gives anybody with a cut wakes Sydney, and she starts to scream in pain, so I point at her and darko begins to calm her down. “Don’t go around tonight, for its bound to take your life. I see a bad moon on the rise all right!” I don’t have enough time to stick up the wound, best thing I can do is bandage it heavily and wait until we are out of the open to stitch her, and so I do. “Hope you got your things together. Hope you are quite prepared to die. Looks like, were in for some nasty weather. One eye is taken for an eye.”
Just as this part of the song plays, Darko and I take Sydney, Darko by her legs and Myself by her arms and begin to carry her towards the rendevous point where the Helicopter first came to get us, but before we got there I felt a heavy slam against my helmet that knocked me on my back.
I was in a daze, my ears were ringing, I looked up, still dizzy to see Darko shooting up towards a building. I look to my right to see Major. Robin and the others were coming towards me. The Major pointed at sydney while she came to me and pulled me up, I still couldn’t hear her but she didn’t say anything; she just dragged me into the Alley way she went into, I was put down next to the Civilian, the Last thing I saw before I passed out was Skymaster114 Stabbing someone in the chest, the uniform I saw shocked me. X-101st… In the Capital.
