"The Bloop is an ultra-low frequency and extremely powerful underwater sound detected by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in 1997. The source of the sound remains unknown."
If you haven't heard it before, look it up. It's basically a super low noise that was heard from 4800 kilometers apart. That's very far, so it's louder than any whale noise ever made, and it comes from a living creature. This means there's a huge, bigger than a blue whale and extremely loud creature in the depths of the ocean, deeper than anyone has ever gone before and lived. Extremely unsettling.

| Heard of it. Something tells me that the whale has a long lost family member. |

Yeah, and honestly it's not even far-fetched, it's completely possible. There are so many things in the deep sea we have no idea about, only 5% of it has been explored. Terrifying.

@Crystoh
Right. Infact one of the reasons I think the sea hasn't been explored much is because the trenches and bottom of the sea are VERY cold. |

That too, it would be able to survive down in the completely freezing waters.
Imagine this. You're swimming down slowly, and it's getting colder. You're in your suit that removes some of the pressure but you know you can't go much further. You are about to return up to the surface but a small light blinking catches your eye. You hear a faint noise, then the loudest one you've ever heard in your life. It sounds like the scream of a thousand whales at the same time. The light begins to get closer, and you begin swimming away, desperately trying to escape. The light gets close enough to illuminate what is behind it. You see the creature. The noise begins once more.

| If the bloop is a giant sea monster, then the world is doomed like you said Crystoh. Well we better get prepared before it comes. |

| Woah. I just imagined that the bloop is a giant angler fish. The fish with the lights on their heads. Yeah that would be freaky |

Also, it actually probably would have lights like an angler fish, considering how deep under it would be.

to me, it sounds more like it's so deep that wouldn't really help. considering it made such a large sound, maybe it gets around by sound. |
