All I know about it is that it happened in the 80's on Chicago TV and someone blocked airwaves, but I'm too afraid to look it up. Anyone have a way to describe it to me?

Looked it up on Wikipedia. Not as creepy as I expected, but I'd be scared to death if that happened while I was just casually watching TV. In retrospect though I'd probably find it hilarious.

A guy on reddit a while back was friends with the person who did it, and he explained he did it for the lols.
So yeah, it was all a great prank that conspiracy theorists go crazy over. |

Yeah, I learned about it on reddit. It honestly doesn't seem like a conspiracy at all, just some people looking for a laugh. Although it's pretty hard to pull off for a simple prank.
