the North German Federation was Prussia plus all the Germanic states it captured in the north, which basically doubles it in power compared to the original Prussia. |

And both were torn apart with little difficulty by themselves. And then later on they formed together and caused the Ottoman Empire to form, which is a whole different mater. |

Ottomans were destroyed by several hundred thousand Australian and Canadian soldiers despite the fact they outnumbered them 3:1.
Ottomans also committed mass genocide in every area they took, and were basically attempting to crusade all of Europe to become Muslim |

Like I have already said They tore themselves apart and let the Barbarians finish them off. Any nation worth its salt would have at least tried to maintain order, which is something that the Romans did not do.

@theo (late response) Their destruction was unavoidable. You can't really stop someone from trying to take control of your government, and you can't stop a supreme leader from starting glastsnots. And plus, they were the largest and most powerful country on Earth hands down.

The Soviet Union fell because a person tried to replicate democracy. Rome fell because a religious dispute.
The Soviet Union had more than twice the amount of nuclear bombs the US had, plus its standing army was much larger than even the combined NATO forces.
