So I thought of a great game to make! I already have the zombies done but I'm slacking on the building. You see, the whole game is about killing these demons that try to attack you and you have a random generated number to kill. And 2 of the demons are BIG demons. The problem is though is my building. I can't build good so all I have is trees, a house for the safe and a cage. What do you think I shall do? I want the scenery to be scary but like I said I'm not a "great" builder as I am a scripter. All I have is trees covering the map so it would be hard to find the demon. But what do you think I should have in the building part?

Settings in Roblox can hardly be scary, unless it's jump scares. Personally, I'd rely heavily on GUI for the scary. As for the actual building, I'm partial to the setting used in the demon game from Grandma's Boy.

Find zombies on free models and edit them, then do the following:

Lighting>Properties>Fogend>50>Fogcolor>DarkBlack

I'm looking for scenery, guys. Have any thoughts what I can put in the building to make the map or satisfying? Or should I just have trees and make the Fogend property really dark.

If http://www.roblox.com/Another-game-place?id=38585946 is your place then you're doing it way wrong.

Try something like what Id Software did for Doom.

Yeah, that is my place ;/

Like I said, I'm the best builder as I am a scripter.

"Id Software did for Doom."

Sorry to ask but Id Software and Doom? Simple explanation please what it is.

Are you any good at interiors?
If so, then you could scrap the idea of having it outside, and make it inside a sunken city, a labyrinth or an abandoned test facility.

By my mentioning of doom, I was implying for you to look at levels in actual, made-for-a-living games in order to get an idea on what works for a map and how such a thing could look.
Know what I mean?

Yeah, I do see what you mean.

But like I said, I'm not a "great" enough builder to make a sunken city. You give me a scale how good I am in building I would say 4 or 4.5. I can make an object but not a whole house nor a whole city.

That's why I'm asking you opinions what I should do to make the game exciting.

There are few ways to become a better builder, and they're neither difficult nor dreadful.
First is to build. Alot. Try to up your standards for detail, and use reference pictures.
Second, take time. Think of how it would look in real life, and then gradually shape it; like a sculpter with a block of clay.

As for your original question, there are many ways 'make it more exciting', though you are or were trying to accomplish something which is very difficult to do, even more so in ROBLOX(horror & immersive ambient feels).

I don't have much more to say at the moment since I'm beginning to procrastinate.

Best of luck, though.

I really don't have the time to build. It would be hard for me to learn the mastering of building in ROBLOX.

Really? You have no more tips for me? We were getting somewhere ;(

Well what he said makes sense, unless you want to search around free models for hours trying to find something that would fit perfectly.
