NOTE: I posted this on some person's thread, but now I decided to make it my own thread.
It seems nearly every person who plays ROBLOX goes through steps until they quit. The rate at which they occur varies with each individual, but it seems they do in fact occur with almost everyone.
When someone first joins ROBLOX, they find it the be the most amazing site with seemingly infinite possibilites. They are so excited about it, they usually buy something to help make their experience better. (This is usually some from of Builder's Club, or it could possibly be ROBUX).
After they have some experience with the site and learn what everything does and how it all works, they start to analyze the community and the games. They no longer focus on the general concept of ROBLOX, but rather of its specifics. They start to possibly admire certain famous ROBLOXians and admins. They develop favorite games, groups, etc...
Once they establish their likes and possible dislikes of ROBLOX, they continue to play and enjoy the game for quite awhile. Eventually though, they begin to develop the sense that they've run out of things to do. This is when they usually become active in the forums. The forums are usually the place for veterans of ROBLOX, because the newer users don't understand all the references being posted. This being said, once the user reaches this point, they discover what other veterans think of ROBLOX, and how the community and everything has changed over the years. They begin to think about all this themselves, and develop strong opinions toward or against ROBLOX.
Eventually, they become people overwhelmed with nostalgia of old ROBLOX. They form fake memories in their heads that the ROBLOX they joined to was much better than the ROBLOX they play at the moment. They make themselves fed up with their inabilites to cope with the realities of ROBLOX, after finally discovering them. This ultimately leads to their departure from ROBLOX. |

Sadly, the newer users come here and complain. |

Exactly.
By the way, some people actually join and go to the forums immediately.
Like I did.
Technically, I didn't start out what is now called 'ROBLOX Talk'. |

| Yes, the new users come here, but I bet you that the forums aren't as important to the new users of ROBLOX as they are to the old ones. |

| The day I quit the forums and the others I known for so long do the same, the forums are over. |

| The forums are important to me, more than basically everything else on this wretched site. |

My roblox life:
I joined around 2010. During that time, I loved to build. The only thing was, I couldnt talk. Later, i found out about Parent accounts, so I took off menu chats and then did free chat.
Later, I started making models (even though they werent very good, since I didnt know how to anchor). Not many people took them.
I reffered some friends to this game when I bought BC around March 2011. Then i made a game called Journey to the Sun Obby. It was pretty famous for one of my games, so i made a sequel.
After that, i got OBC. When i lost it, i couldnt get it back again. I talked about leaving roblox to my friend because i thought i was scammed. My friend told these people about it, and they spammed my messages calling me a noob because i lost my OBC. I quit roblox from July 2011-March 2012.
When I came back, I started playing my favorite games again (Pokemon arena x, Roblox Titanic). Then, I started playing Chair racing.
Well, this is my life as a robloxian. |

| For me personally, I wonder why I still remain on this website. All my original friends on here (from both real life and this website) quit about a year ago. I feel so isolated, because basically all my generation of ROBLOXians have quit. I don't have many people to relate to on here anymore. |

@Cafeteria,
Maybe, we can relate, somehow.
And I can show you everyone, that relate to me.
Possibly, if you want to go through with this.
I feel the same, coming from 08.
Since foruming from late 08', I knew all the oldies.
The one's I see from my old times is RoAnt, EXcellent, and Gkku.
To bad the others are gone. |
