There are two reasons that you would say infer in that situation:
1. You genuinely did not know the difference or got so confused in your argument (very flimsy by the way) that you used infer in the place of imply. 2. You tried to mock him, in which case you needed to have quotation marks and it would hardly be a sophisticated argument.
Good job trying to seem sophisticated when you have awful music tastes that you probably heard in a car commercial. |

| How often are you going to prove your immaturity? Don't make it seem like we're even when you're lowering yourself every single time you post on here. |

-Or I simply was reusing the word he used, without mockery? (Some people are mature enough to do so. You wouldn't know about that though, don't worry.)
-I don't recall any car commercial that has those songs? Okay though, go ahead and pull out blind assumptions. They only make you look worse. The way I heard them matters not at all anyways, it's the fact that I like them. Even at that, I don't quite see how you would care at all about it. |

| It was a blind assumption, you assumed I had watched that. Or acknowledged the song rather than the car being advertised. Or that I lived in Canada. Oh, better yet, that I researched that ad just so I could know what the song was! |

Yet you insulted me for knowledge.
Very classy, very sophisticated. |

| I insulted your knowledge? No. I pointed out that it was an obvious blind assumption. I also am tempted to point out that I've never called myself classy or sophisticated. Only more mature than you. (Could that be because you're attacking my thread simply because I have a taste in music you don't like?) |

No - it's your choice in your taste of music which shows that you're desperately attempting to be classy but you're so obviously not.
I don't understand how it was a blind assumption though, considering I knew that it was used in a car commercial? (Which is how most people find their oh so classy classical music anyways.) |

Desperately attempting to sound classy? Or maybe, unlike the person you assume me to be, I simply wanted to strike a conversation about it and maybe be introduced to more styles? Or is it just impossible for one more person to have an interest in classical music?
It was a blind assumption for thinking that I had watched it.
Most people, excluding a small percentile. Some of that being me - Where I instead looked up a few classical songs, and liked how it sounded. I'm sorry that you dislike the song due to it being too mainstream, but I find it very soothing. I know, hard to believe. Right? Someone finding classical music soothing. Impossible. |

I never assumed that you had watched it. It was dense of you to think that I assumed that you had watched it, but even more dense of you to call me out on it when you obviously were misinformed.
In general classical music is intended to convey emotions. But you're posting in one of the worst places to be striking up a conversation over music. There's a difference between you and the 12 year olds here, the 12 year olds here don't care that much about looking cool and classy. |

| I guess it is impossible to want to learn about a few new songs. I believe this forum section's title is misleading, I guess it's exclusive to some genres. Or just certain people striking interest in said genres. |

| Considering the ending of that was variable, I have to ask which it was? Genres, or people not being allowed to strike interest in the said genres? |

If you wanted more songs you might like, say so in the OP. Your OP made it seem like you didn't like most classical music, and therefore didn't want to listen to it, creating a hostile mindset towards you in the minds of most people who would click on this thread and like classical music (as the title is geared towards classical music enjoyers.)
If you're looking for good composers I recommend
Hanson, Profokiev, Rachmoninoff (or rachmaninov), Liszt, even Korsakov. Most Russian composers are very good. I also like Mozart's 40th Symphony, 1st movement, or Vivaldi's Double Violin Concerto. |

I realize my flaw in the OP, I meant it more as in "I don't know many artists." I see how easily what I said can be misunderstood though.
Thank you though for your recommendations. |
