'Ello everyone. I, gamer961, am quite new to the S&I forum, but I will take it seriously, Constantly, roblox is talking about how great the Roblox Economy really is, and how it gives the users a take on how life really is. My question is.... Does it really? I have many ways that could improve the Roblox Economy's realism, and I believe this is the place to share them.
I'll start with the Catalog. Hat's and such don't cost 5000 dollars in real life, I do admit that, but I think it fits the ROBLOX Currency well. So I will not be suggesting to change anything like that, because that's Roblox's way of Buying things.
Of course, there has been a lot of discussion about this lately, a Stock Market. What IF Roblox had a stock market for other people's games? I think that'd give users a taste of real life ultimately, and that'd also mean new ways to earn money for the not-so-fortunate Robloxians.
((Reminder: If I do disobey any WNTS rules, I'm sorry. I wouldn't do it on purpose, therefore I'd just a want a small reminder in the comments if so. Thank you, as I shall continue on now.))
Stock could also work for models, where you could put even MODELS up for sale. I think that'd be a smart thing to do, because that'd reduce scammers that say "Oh, buy this T-Shirt and you get this house" but then they never give you that T-Shirt.
In a recently mentioned post that sparked my interest, was coupons for certain Game passes and Clothing. That'd be EVER SO realistic, due to the fact that in the real world economy today, everyone wants coupons!
I believe that there should be an official selling game system, which would actually be a bit like house buying systems in real life. It'd be put up by the owner, near the game passes it'd have some type of "approval to buy game" pass and then it'd give you the game. BUT, remember, the owner has to put it up for sale first. This would reduce many scammers.
Here's something that I want BADLY ( but I know will be a pain if it comes out! ) One word. Taxes. I know that when selling shirts and such, you only get 30% and stuff like that, but I want taxes where you have to pay a certain amount for games that got over 250 plays, taxes where you must pay them to sustain a group, taxes when buying hats too! This truly would help A LOT with roblox's "realism".
Last Idea: What if one group makes some models and then could sell it to other groups. Bit like selling weapons in war to your allies.
Thanks for reading! Support or no support? Tell me what you think why or why not to support it!
Again, if I disobeyed any rules, I am sorry, I didn't intend to. |

True, I just think it'd give a bit more of a realistic feeling. You know?

Let's break this down step by step.
"'Ello everyone. I, gamer961, am quite new to the S&I forum, but I will take it seriously,"
Normally people don't state stuff like that. You don't need to.
"Constantly, roblox is talking about how great the Roblox Economy really is, and how it gives the users a take on how life really is." A) I've never noticed that. B) A quick note: The catalog has a delicate balance of realism vs avaliabillity. It's an easy balance to throw off the scale.
"Of course, there has been a lot of discussion about this lately, a Stock Market. What IF Roblox had a stock market for other people's games? I think that'd give users a taste of real life ultimately, and that'd also mean new ways to earn money for the not-so-fortunate Robloxians." The TC uses a stock market, if I remember by terminology correctly. So sort of already made, I suppose.
"((Reminder: If I do disobey any WNTS rules, I'm sorry. I wouldn't do it on purpose, therefore I'd just a want a small reminder in the comments if so. Thank you, as I shall continue on now.))" It's an entirely valid suggestion.
"Stock could also work for models, where you could put even MODELS up for sale. I think that'd be a smart thing to do, because that'd reduce scammers that say "Oh, buy this T-Shirt and you get this house" but then they never give you that T-Shirt." A) It's called a Free Model for a reason. Why request something for 1R$ when you can get it instantly for free? B) Not everyone knows what stock is, stock market, etc... So, you might want to explain that for next time.
"In a recently mentioned post that sparked my interest, was coupons for certain Game passes and Clothing." Elaborate. How do we get coupons? How are they used? Etc.
"That'd be EVER SO realistic, due to the fact that in the real world economy today, everyone wants coupons!" Not really. Ever heard of the nectar program? Basically a few shops in the UK give you nectar points, which turn into coupons. However, it costs thousands of nectar points just to get even a £5 coupon. Also, remember: Realism Vs acessibillity. You don't need to be a master at economics to use the catalog, wilst it tries to be as real as possible.
"I believe that there should be an official selling game system, which would actually be a bit like house buying systems in real life. It'd be put up by the owner, near the game passes it'd have some type of "approval to buy game" pass and then it'd give you the game. BUT, remember, the owner has to put it up for sale first. This would reduce many scammers." I'll just add a support. But is this ad infinitum?
"Here's something that I want BADLY ( but I know will be a pain if it comes out! ) One word. Taxes. I know that when selling shirts and such, you only get 30% and stuff like that, but I want taxes where you have to pay a certain amount for games that got over 250 plays, taxes where you must pay them to sustain a group, taxes when buying hats too! This truly would help A LOT with roblox's "realism"." No game, tool, or company, has EVER introduced such a thing. This proves this is a bad idea, this bad for buisness. Also, realise that roblox doesn't nessasarily want to be realistic in every aspect ever. It's a tool, not a school.
"What if one group makes some models and then could sell it to other groups. Bit like selling weapons in war to your allies." See the model selling. |

Supported, and another idea.
Groups could also sell shirts and pants so that users don't have to go copy and pasting to go and buy the uniform; they can just but it off the profile! |

Sorry, having a decent economy is for BC members only.
What i'm saying is that NBC members can't get the same monetary bonuses that BCers get. The economy in roblox will never be decent with BC around, and roblox can't exist without BC, so a good economy in roblox can't exist. |

I see no way in how the stock would go down.
>Taxes. No.
Otherwise the rest seems good.

I also have an idea, it kind of ties in with the buying and selling of models, but I think being able to exclusively trade models would be cool, so if you made a model for a specific person, ONLY they could get the model.
