| We as humans can do so many things. Applied science and stuff. Look whats out there just for us to find. The planets, the species, the galaxies. The phones we make, rockets we fire, weapons of destruction... i think some of it is natural of course but a waste of time as well. I mean we could all have our own planets if we all worked together to pool money and resources to do things beyaound our imagination! There there woudn't be teritorial fights, or battles and wars going on in are world... any1 agree at least to some of it? |

I think small colonies on asteroids, and nearby planets for mining seems plausible in the near future.
Out of solar system colonies I don't see happening unless there is some sort of way to get there in an efficient amount of time, and there is money to be made. |

@Sas, Oh it's VERY possible and more then worth figuring out how to travel in a reasonable amount of time between different solar systems. Infact there are a number of different theories of how to go faster then light. |

small colonies on asteroids
____
dude the gravity score for asteroids is like negative six, which is a number and metric I just made up but it works like the richter scale only for gravity and it operates on the principle that heaveier objects fall faster
but u get the point |

@jdg, That is one of the many ways. Another one is called the Alcubierre drive, Look it up it's quite interesting even thought it requires INSANE amounts of energy. |

Yeah.... There are a few problems, like it requiring an insane amount of enegery.... Not knowing when the bubble-thing that it creates will stop working, What will happen if it stops working, And how many can be in one place at a time... |

1.) Stop giving us people of faith a bad image.
2.) 'Planets?'
3.) They didn't need to be 'disciplined.' They asked a simple question. |

| Not really. Before an invention of the starship or extremely fast and efficient intergalactic travel, a planet for everyone would not work out, seeing as there are nearly 7 billion people living on earth. Maybe colonization on Mars, but not other Solar Systems yet. We could jump forward in time and out of reality into the world of halo, where intergalactic travel is reality and slipspace travel is real, but we would most likely need insane amounts of energy to fuel something like that. |
