inb4 tldr inb4 stupid replies
I'm sick of raiding, it's boring, it's repetitive and I'm just tired of it. Currently I'm building a large map dotted with 'Resource Camps' Or 'Capture Checkpoints', which you capture, and depending on it's size it gives your entire team a boost of RP [Resource points] per delivery.
Instead of credits, the idea would be that you pay [RP] at War Factories (Land or air, both factories look different, they are quite small though sort of like command and conquer factories), and you choose a vehicle that you pay to be built with [RP]. Pretty much the same as credits except there is a bit more explanation behind it and teams will be able to build more Vehicles with a higher income depending on how many resource camps and checkpoints you have captured (they can be recaptured you are fighting over these camps).
It wouldn't just be vehicles, you would have cool little dispenser things that you use to buy guns with [RP] aswell. Next to the dispensers or factories there are little terminals you stand on with a screen, a simple gui would pop up where you buy whatever it is selling.
The whole idea is to be more fun than every day raiding, after say 20 minutes if raiders haven't captured the main base, 'Reinforcements' are called in at the end of the timer and the match ends. The backstory would be that the raiders must take the base before reinforcements arrive, if they don't there raiders are pushed back and they lose.
This match system will be much cleaner and legit than most bases, the match will not begin until each team has 5 players, and so far I have been very good budgeting my bricks while making it look pretty awesome, and the guns would be budgeted aswell so large scale battles would be quite smooth.
Defenders can't capture the raiders home base but they can suffocate them by capturing surrounding camps, forcing them to have a low income and be trapped in there base. You will be able to spawn at any of your captured bases, but it costs RP, unlike spawning at your home base which is free.
That's about it, most of this is theory at the moment and is subject to change, I am in the building stage at the moment and I can tell you it's going well.
Thanks for reading.
