Usually input/output coding would be recommended for starting out with a language.
But with RBX Lua, really only output is a plausible thing to start out with.
Try printing math equations and such and working with variables, 'if' statements, basic 'for' and 'while' loops, etc.
For example:
local a = 32 local b = a + 10 local c = b - 20 local d = a*c
print("a = " .. a) print("b = " .. b) print("c = " .. c) print("d = " .. d)
Roblox really needs to allow formatted output text... |

Lua is a great language to begin with. As is JavaScript.
HTML is not a programming language, simply formatted text that the computer reads to draw web pages basically. |

| If you're planning on scripting on roblox then yes... Roblox Lua would be a good place to start. |

| If you want to actually start programming, java is quite easy and fun to work with. |

No, learn Java after RBX.Lua. JavaScript ~= Java
Heard it's some type of web coding, not sure. |

| HTML, CSS, and YAML (these aren't the only ones, I don't think) are mark-up languages, even though "YAML ain't mark-up language". |

@xxChop, I would agree with that in form of how powerful the language is.
Personally I like Java the best, but probably because I just haven't got into C++ all too much yet. |

| It's good to have some basic knowledge of how coding works before you start making actual programs in other programming languages. Roblox lua will help you with this. I recommend setting a goal and using tutorials from wiki.roblox.com to help you build your scripting knowledge. |

| Java might be best because, it can be used on Mac and stuff unlike C++ I believe, but again I doubt Macs are going to last. So expensive, you can build a super/gaming PC with the price of a Mac. |

What makes C++ so good? Because other people tell you it is? Because it's popular? Don't call people stupid when you don't know what you're talking about. |
