I'm starting a massive place and I'm wondering what of these causes most lag, so I have lots of Gui's I'm pretty sure they cause hardly any lag, but what about Number Values? Do they cause lots of lag along with Boolean Values and String Values? How laggy are scripts? And of course I know about welds and blocks being laggy.

Inefficient scripts, and huge amounts of bricks - esp. if moving

its an overload of materials that fills up all the memory and causes the network and the game to move at an insufficient pace, so i would suggest less bricks :l

i would just expand almost all bricks to keep lag at a minimum and you can also get lag and make less lag scripts.

If you set the options of rendering to high then that can cause lag as the computer struggles to maintain the quality.

- Inefficient scripting - Process-eating scripting - Too much physics calculations (too many unanchored bricks in motion) - Connection delay between clients and server
That last one there about connections is why sometimes you will have NO lag, yet it appears that other players are lagging (even if they truly aren't). |

Well what about Number Values and Boolean Values? I use those a lot and I want to know if I shouldn't.

What happens is that the computer is running so many tasks it can't keep up with what you are giving to it.
For Ex.

I know, I should've phrased the title differently. Did you read my comment? I wanted to know what of THOSE causes the most lag.
