It'll be for electronic music, which cuts the cost by a lot.
I'll still need to put quite a bit of money into it.
Should I? |

It shouldn't be too hard, aside from the money part of it
With all of the new, small electronic music producers out there out youtube and soundcloud and stuff, they'll probably come to me. |

What I don't understand is, how do electronic music record labels work?

@David
I also have no money and very little knowledge but we can still try.
I can get a loan from my parents.
@Over
Electronic music record labels work differently than others. From what I understand, the artist makes it in their own studio with whatever the hell they want, and then the record label is pretty much responsible for getting it out there, making the artist more popular, selling the music, etc. |

Ah, I see.
What I noticed is that there is a community in each record label. For example, I like music from artists on Rottun Recordings. Some people like music from Monstercat Media, or OSWLA, or Circus, or etc.

| How do they work? Lol, it's the simplest thing ever. Make really midrangey music then put it on a cool sounding label like "Rottun" or "Mad Decent" or "Don't Get It Twizted" or "Chestplate" or "Blackbox" or "Osiris" or "Deep MEDi Musik" or "DMZ" (not likely) or The Swamp (lol). |

Circus _______ I actually like Circus. I think it's a really good brostep label, and it has a strong presence on the dubstepforum. |

I never cared much about Circus. I don't like Flux Pavilion as much as most people and I can't stand Doctor P's music. And all of the artists I've heard on Circus I didn't like too much.

My problem with Flux Pavilion is that the vocals are always so repetitive. I personally think it would be better without it.
I CAN'T STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP
Doctor P is way too screechy for me.

Here's a better idea, less outcome, more income:
Make a Collection. Sorta like a group of people making their own music, but contribute to the same name.
Like Odd Future, Wu-Tang, etc, but with the Electro genre.
Don't have to take that idea; something I'm considering doing myself. |
