Hello, today I will be doing a review on a movie you probably heard of "Prometheus".
To start off lets look at the visual effects and the way they were put. The effects were great on my opinion, the space ship looked great and so did most of the planet. The aliens were also well animated and the alien snake was quiet impressive. So to start off I am going to give the movie animation a 9/10 stars.
Secondly lets look at the acting. In this sector I found lots of failure. First of all none of the "scientists" said anything that made logical sense. And then there was no one that really helped recover anything on the mission that didn't eat them or turn them into a zombie. What every one mostly was doing is touching every thing, pressing buttons and drinking. There was nothing scientific about the expedition and every one was doing what they wanted no one was giving orders and no one was taking orders except the robot. I give this sector a 4/10 stars because I have seen worst.
Now lets look at the roles they play. The two main scientist have a very poor act. And seem to take only readings of things that are right in front of them. No one even thinks that jars with black slimy jars are a bit dangerous and one of the "biologists" calls a dangerous looking snake alien beautiful. And the one who had the mapping system got lost. Then there was the Captain who was not bad but he could have done better. The "commander" of the ship does nothing at all except burn one of the chief leading scientists alive. There are other members of the crew that I will not go into detail. Last but not least there is the robot which I find to be one of the best actors in the film even if what he does doesn't always make sense. And above all of this it looks like there is no one really in charge of the ship. The Captain doesn't give orders. The commander gives one or two but that's all and the leading scientists don't at all. On acting I rate it a 2/10 stars.
If you haven't seen Prometheus or any of the Aliens then I suggest you stop reading now.
Now for the realty check in realty the people who have seen alien know that Prometheus would not end like this. Second of all a crashing ship which is about 2 miles high in the sky would not start rolling like a wheel if it crashed. it would most likely crash straight through into the ground and stay there or it would just break apart on contact to the ground. Then we have the jars inside the spaceship which me presume are filled with deadly sort of bacteria. Wouldn't they break also if a space ship rolled round and round. Then we have the alien at the end how could an alien that big come out of those sort of "gods". How could Ridley Scott make SUCH A MISTAKE like this. It would have made sense if the "engineer alien" woke up and took another space ship and went on his way to earth when suddenly the alien comes out of his stomach and then he crash landed. For realty and MAKING SENSE I rate it a 1/10 stars.
Thank you for reading this review there are a million of other wrong things in the movie Prometheus but it is very fun to watch it not to think about it. Have fun robloxians and I will be making more and more movie reviews. PM me for requests. I also advise people if movies are good or not so feel free to ask.

Because the alien snake is beautiful.
Perfect organism.
No pity. No remorse.
And one hell of a defense system. You don't dare kill it. |

Prometheus was the biggest disappointment of 2012.

I thought Prometheus was fantastic, the hate weirds me out. The visuals were stunning, the acting was great (especially Fassbender as David the android who was amazing), and the story was honestly great.
This was a great movie, it just wasn't an Alien movie. If you watch it as an epic sci-fi film rather than an Alien prequel it kills. |

I never watched Alien, Aliens, Alien3, Alien vs Predator, etc.
The story may be good if it made ANY sense. Unfortunately it doesn't.

I thought it made sense. They're looking for the origin of human life, and have found this planet and species that might have been the origin.
I guess the virus WMD was never really explained, but if you just let it happen everyhting else works, I though. |

| I would recommend this movie for the action and effects but not for the sense in it. |

That's actually pretty strange.
When you go to see an obviously trying-to-be-philosophical horror film, do you go to see the guns and blood?
It's like watching "Friday the 13th" with your children so they can expect the surprises at camp. |

Yes but since this is a prequel this movie made no sense. Being a Sci-fi horror film it is a big failure for Riddle Scot. Most of the movie characters didn't have any sense of the real life dangers. For example: if you see a snake in a tomb do you go and touch it, no you don't although this biologist thought it was okay. When a huge gigantic space ship is rolling in your direction do you run in the direction it's falling. No but the two characters thought that they could stand a chance. And one only survived by rolling to one side.
It was a huge disappointment for people all over the world who have seen this movie.

"if you see a snake in a tomb do you go and touch it" You are if you're a danged scientist. Geez man, if you're going to nitpick, do it right.
This movie was way better than I could have hoped, no one I know was disappointed with it, everyone LOVED it. Fassbender was incredible in it. If you don't get hung up on bits like the running away from the ship (Which is a super-old trope, by the way) it's freaking great. It's exciting, it's interesting, it's deep and thoughful, and though provoking, THIS WAS A GREAT MOVIE.

If you like it good for you. But I found most of it quiet dumb. I am not the first one who thinks like this millions of reviewers see it as I do. And most parts in the movie were just added to have in relation to the first alien. This movie was a major fail in the reality. And if you mean that a space ship which is super old can survive an impact that will properly shatter the whole bridge. Swift~ |

@Swift
So, in your sense of reality:
Reporter- Biologist guy, you discovered a brand new, alien snake! What are you going to do now? Biologist- I'm going to put it in a sealed container, take my mind off it, and focus on the search for God!
Everybody's curious when they discover something new. Although, I do agree that it's stupid to pet an animal when it hisses at you.
But on the next part.
Would you be thinking rationally if there was a freaking spaceship falling towards you, and your loved ones just died? |

There is some truth in what you say but there is another thing I left out. When you have a cesarean you cant run for days weeks or months even. But a few hours later she can sprint. 2nd of all yes there is chance and probabilty that if a gigantic space ship does fall on you you wouldn't think rationally. But a space ship that falls from that high wouldn't start rolling like a coin. And if it was very strong then it would just crash through the ground.
If you liked this movie then great but from my point of view this movie was one of the biggest downfalls for director Riddle Scot.
Then regarding at the biologist. Lets see why they got there in the first place. One of the guys had a 3d map and video link to the ship yet they still get lost. Then we have the fact that none of these guys look like the have some common sense. For example at the start they had a mission briefing. No one would go into space sleep for 2 years and then hear what job they had to do. It made no sense. Then we have the fact that every one does what they want. The robot starts pressing every button he can find and every one else starts touching slimy jars filled with who knows what. Then by chance the "engineer" rips of the robots head and just hits every one else. This was just to show the same scene from Alien no.1 were the robots head came off.
But if you liked it great for me I would only recommend this movie if you can switch of your brain through the whole movie.

At the beginning, we see an Engie touch some of the stuff that's in the urns.
Later, everyone does their own stuff, for science.
David is curious about the goo, and uses Holloway to find out.
The Biologist is curious about the snake, and accidently gets it mad.
Theron's character is busy making the Engineer heads go asplodey.
Pretty much, everyone is freaking out over their discovery, messing with the Engineer's creations....
And then, they wake him up, only for one of the apes to ask him if he could have all of their technology.
That's why.
Also, Shaw was using anesthetics, so when she really had to run, as hard as it was, she would. Also, she was often stumbling and using the walls to walk. And, it IS the future.
Although, the spaceship thing. That was really stupid. I think Ridley included it just for fan service. |

As I said if you like it fine but I thought it was very stupid. But I am not every one and I do know lots of people liked it and I do know lots of people don't. The people who liked it went to see a movie that was fun people who didn't went to see a movie that they thought was a failure.

| So you only think that effects and acting is what makes a movie good or bad? And P.S, the acting was very good, and the only problem with the characters was the obvious redshirts. |

'millions of reviewers'
I'm the only reviewer in my town of 8000 people. And P.S, most reviewers were impressed by this movie, and the average rating is about 8.5 out of 10. |
