I've learned some java. And now I'm learning Python. But, what next?
And should I get minecraft? Everyone, well not everyone, here seems to like it. |

What "for what purpose"?
I don't understand what you mean. |

Minecraft = bad place to start. It offers some really bad practices. It is mostly good code, but there are some points that aren't very well coded. It is also obfuscated, which is a bad idea in probably 75% of the time, and it is always a bad practice, as it can create bugs, slow things down and makes it impossible to debug. |

then you shouldn't ask this question if you don't even know what to do with the next programming languages you want to learn |

Did your question mean "Why would I want Minecraft"
@ Just for playing. I don't want to code in it. |

Oh. Well, I guess I haven't found any actual reason for programming, yet. I think I like making games. And interfaces. Like libraries of data. That's actually my current project right now. |

One thing, do not code libraries and interfaces and other stuff if you can find already coded ones. It will save you months of work. |

@Chickenman
I'm stubborn. I don't like taking other's code for the sake of my learning. Learning experience... You know? |

@su8, I meant if they actually work. Not some lame skid lib. @kools, it is ok for simple things, and it makes great learning, but if you want to program as a job, use libraries. They can even be ones you already made. I use LWJGL, as I do not want to code a new renderer and whatnot. I also use jMonkeyEngine, because it allows me to code a rough game in a day. |

| What exactly would you like to accomplish with your newly learned language? |

I don't know you, but I have a hunch that that post will get you banned. |

Odds are it will. LnfinityFrost - my alt.
Anyways.
It seriously depends on what you want to do with what language. I suggest LUA, though. |
