Roblox will not work for me, whenever I try to start a game I get this message:
An error occurred while starting Roblox
Details: HttpSendRequest failed: HResult 0x80072ee7
What does this mean and how can I fix it?
PS: I did try to uninstall/reinstall, it gave me the same message when I tried to uninstall so I had to do a forced uninstall and then the same message when I tried to reinstall. |

| Yes, I get the same thing. I get in when I try to open either Roblox Studio (1) and when I try to open a game or use Roblox Player. What's wrong, my PC (Windows 7), or my internet connection (full connection through a wireless router)? I use Google Chrome, FYI. |

I "almost" have the same problem. I can enter Roblox,but when I start the game,it tells me: "You have lost the connection to the game" But my connection is fine! I even got AVG and scanned. It's hurting my feelings as much as your feelings. |

I also found out that Details: HttpSendRequest failed: HResult 0x80072ee7 is made either your OS or your internet security, not Roblox (unless they changed within the last 0.13 seconds...). |

| Usually this is caused by your antivirus or internet security preventing roblox from accessing and creating that link between your computer and their servers. You will need to add roblox to your permitted website accesses in your antivirus or internet security software. |

| Hey i think i figured out the problem if you have windows 7 heres what you do(Dont do it till after i tell you what to do when your there) Press Ctrl Alt Delete Keep your hands on that and a Thing should pop up Press Start Taskmanager (do it now and press Task Manager) then click on roblox player and end task then if thats not there sorry i dont know what to do |

This is a problem with user accounts combined with your virus protection. If your using a non administrator account and have virus protection on, Here's what to do:
Instructions for Norton/Symantec
1. Login as the administrator 2. Run LiveUpdate 3. Under the Norton Protection Center, in the bottom left corner, under Quick Tasks, click Run LiveUpdate 4. Under the Norton Internet Security tab, go to Settings ->Internet Security and Firewall Options -> LiveUpdate -> #General Settings, make sure Automatic LiveUpdate is set to on. And under Personal Firewall and Intrusion Prevention, make sure Monitor for updates is selected, and Automatically update my protection is selected for both. 5. Schedule LiveUpdate run on a regular basis:
Go to Control Panel -> Classic View -> Symantec LiveUpdate -> Automatic LiveUpdate and change the frequency to every 4 hours.
Instructions for McAfee
1.Open up McAfee Total Protection 2.Click on Firewall 3.Click on Settings 4.Click on Program Permissions 5.Scroll Down to 'ROBLOX' 6.Click on it 7.Click Edit 8Then make it either 'Full' or 'Outgoing' 9.Theres another one called 'ROBLOX Game' do the same thing as you did with 'ROBLOX'
Instructions for Bullguard security software
1. Open Bullguard internet security by clicking the small icon at the bottom right of your screen. On the tabs on the left, select "Firewall". 2. When Firewall is open, at the top of the window, select "Profiles" and 3 options will come up: High Security, Low security, or Custom Security. 3. Double click "Custom Security" and locate ROBLOX, "Play ROBLOX", "ROBLOX Studio" and any related ROBLOX files. Make sure they are all set to "Allow". When you have finished, click "Ok" and then click "Activate".

| Well, I allowed access and it still wont stop! I have defragmented, optimized, and have done everything I know but it still wont go away!!!!! No one has been any help to me. It wont even let me uninstall!!!! |

| BUMP - FIX: Make sure to UNINSTALL ROBLOX! After you do that, go to start --> search --> windows update | A popup appears, make sure to then download ALL the updates! When done, shut down your computer COMPLETLY. Reinstall ROBLOX. And it should work. If that doesn't work go to Start --> search --> Windows Firewalls --> turn windows firewalls on or off --> then turn public network off! |

=====>SOLUTION<===== Its simple if you have the Mc or Norton thing just do what the guy who copy and pasted from wiki did and if you have AVG just turn off the firewall...... Just find the icon in the toolbar if it isnt there find a icon of avg in in toolbar rightclick go on firewall and disable.

cocoagirl i had a simlar problem does your windows have profiles like one that say ur name and stuff? try installing roblox on a different profile of your computer. it fixed mine hope i helped :D thomasfan :) |
