the school lunches were scaled down and were made worse beyond belief in order to comply with federal laws
it's really terrible for us ninth graders |

My lunch is at 11:00 AM, half of my friends don't even eat during lunch. But on the bright side, we get the good food first[Except I always bring lunch.] |

lol
my school is okay as far as lunch goes but we have a serious overcrowding problem
i have to sprint half a mile across the school to reach the cafeteria before other people, or wait in line 15 minutes for a slice of pizza |

| You know what sucks about being in a 3rd grade class in a k-8th grade school? 3rd graders eat last, so there's hardly ANYTHING left. That's right, they can't even BEGIN to consider that MAYBE, just MAYBE, that 8th graders can wait. But NO. THEY'RE TOO OLD TO EAT WITH LITTLE KIDS. THEY NEED MORE FOOD, SO LET'S JUST STARVE EVERYONE WHO'S YOUNGER THAN THEM. |

| And now they're forcing us to eat a fruit, vegetable, or salad. Well, to take one. We don't actually have to eat it, so we can have kids throwing away half their food and the government will still give them the "healthy lunch" thumbs up. |

You know what sucks? I gotta get up, from my seat, go to the 3 lines, one has pizza, one has subs/wraps, and the other has salads. The pizza is either cheese or pepperoni. The subs/wraps is handmade in front of you, you choose what you want, mayo or honeymustard? ham. turkey or salami? (or some of each?) I don't like salads, idk what they are. I also get to choose a drink, a large powerade, either blue red or purple, OR an iced tea. some others, you can give a teacher a dollar and he/she will go to the lounge and buy you a coca cola.
I also can buy a snack like a cookie or a bag of doritos.
Did I mention the vending machines?
Best High School lunch. |

| Isn't that a waste of food and effort? To force them to take a fruit or vegetable then just LET them throw it away? Think of all the local farmers going bankrupt JUST BECAUSE the students are too stubborn to eat their fruit. Odds are, if you want them to eat it, they won't eat it. If you give it away like it's some kind of secret, they'll stumble over each other like it's a new game for the Xbox 360. |

No offense intended. I was just kind of raging at my school there. "Hey, let's stick some 8th graders in with some kindergarteners and give 8th grade the early lunch. OH, AND LET'S MAKE 3RD GRADE GO LAST. IT COULDN'T POSSIBLY GO WRONG." |

"Think of all the local farmers going bankrupt JUST BECAUSE the students are too stubborn to eat their fruit."
What?
The school buys the fruit from the farmer. What happens to the fruit does NOT, in any way, affect the wages of a farmer. |
