| Yeah. He doesn't move when you look at him. He just kind of hovers around when you don't see him. |

That's what Slenderman's supposed to be.
He doesn't move at all. He can TELEPORT.

In every picture I see of him, he's just hovering over the ground. In one particular picture, he was levitating in a forest with at least 30 tentacles coming out of his back. |

@Mikey
He can hover over the ground with god knows how many tentacles supporting him at any time at will. Sometimes, he'll have four or six tentacles coming out of him standing in place. He's basically supposed to strike fear into people that way.

| I always thought the amount of tentacles he had depended on how ticked off you got him. |

@Mikey
That's the part of Slenderman, you don't know why he's after you or anything. Slenderman can have an infinite amount of tentacles, but normally 6 - 8 tentacles. There's nothing to explain the true nature of that guy.

| Well, from what I've read, he starts coming after you once you know about him. He can only teleport so far in one day, amirite? I just barely escaped his age zone, which I was told was younger than 11 y/o. |

He comes after you no matter what. It doesn't matter how old you are, he chases children ages 4 - 13. The only exception is if you witnessed him or saw him and spoke to somebody about it. He stalks and kills you then.

In the German myth it said that he would stalk and kill the child unless the child told their parents that they went into the Black Forest, which was "his property." IF the child managed to escape, that is. |

There's hundreds of versions of the lore. Some say Slenderman chases the children that will have an unhappy future, some say he'll do it either way. Though, the belief is he DOES stalk and kill/abduct children. Also, that seems more likely that Slenderman would kill the family due to the fact the child told the existence of the Slenderman.

| Oh, no. I'm sure they were MORE than aware of him. If there were more people like that, I'm sure everyone in the whole place knew about it. |

| Also, about unhappy future, I read something like that. Except it said that Slenderman took them to the Underworld early to save them from a painful death. |

Yes, that's what I mean. Like I said, there's HUNDREDS of what Slenderman does and is supposed to do.

| Yes. The German myth shows him as some kind of law enforcement against trespassing. The one about the early Underworld shows him as someone who will save you pain and take it for you, since the worst you can do is banish him to the underworld temporarily. Meanwhile, the more North American myth shows him as a stalker and bloody killer. |

Slenderman in the German version is a nice guy. I can imagine a sign hanging from his neck saying "STOP, YOU HAVE VIOLATED THE LAW"

Only issue is that Slenderman will probably ravage their mind as they look at his face.

Good luck with that, I don't think Slenderman's arms'll be able to raise to his face. Unless it's flexible and tentacle-like. Which they most likely are.
