| They made new badges that you can buy and called them game passes. Really, really pointless when they could've just allowed us to sell badges. |

The idea is that they're a more general concept which can be used for ingame purchases, unlike badges. Just for what functionality they have right now badges would be equivalent, but the idea is that they'll have much more functionality towards ingame purchases than would fit in the scope of selling badges.
For example, being able to do in-game sales, and the having a concept of a consumable which you can "use up" and no longer have, as opposed to badges which are award-only. |

| Yeah judging by some of the dev's comments it seems like they really want in-game buying. |

@admins,
Can we have the passes in the catalog please? The VIP t-shirts were a great way of advertising. It would be much appreciated if the passes could advertise too :P |

So all it is is a VIP t-shirt that you have to pay 100 R$ to create in which the "buy" button is on the game itself.
yeah, k. |

| But it seems like they want it to be able to run out, and to be able to purchase it from in game. |

Primary distinction between passes and badges is that badges are awarded for achievements, whereas passes are designed to unlock content.
They may seem a little strange with this initial rollout, but I think they will provide some interesting leverage once they've gained adoption. There are various drawbacks with VIP passes that we hope to address -- discovery/usability, intuitiveness, scams.
With the first cut, we're attempting the following: *Address some discovery and usability issues - they're right there purchasable on the game's page as a first class citizen. *Make the concept a little more intuitive - it's weird to buy a shirt to unlock game content. This is emergent behavior that we should formalize so it's easier for users to grasp. *Address one category of scams - The one where other users claim to sell a shirt for your place. Once they gain widespread adoption, we will be able to tackle scams where the passes don't work.
As for the 100R$ cost, I believe it's more intended as a quality control mechanism than anything else -- if you don't think you can recoup the cost then you shouldn't be making the pass.
Catalog support. We can do this. I'm not sure what the use case is... "Let me see what games out there have unlockable content". Seems like 99.9% of the time you would find the game then decide you want to unlock all the things.
Anyway, we'll be iterating on this feature in the next handful of weeks based on our own observations as well as user feedback, so be sure to let us know what you think. |

| When will be in-game character customization be released? I REALLY want that, and a little "Shop" button next to the nav frame in the menu, for in-game vip purchases. |

Hmm, yeah, we can probably do expose a way to convert existing t-shirts. Gave it some consideration and I think that would look something like this:
Feature that is exposed for 30 days, then is turned off.
Button on the t-shirt page "Convert to Game Pass".
There is some red text that says "Warning, this cannot be undone. Converting a shirt into a game pass will destroy the original shirt" When you click the button, you're given the option to select existing, or create new.
If you select existing, prompts with list of your existing game passes. You select one and click submit. Final confirmation modal pops up. You agree, the shirt is destroyed and we spawn up some threads to grant the game pass to everyone that owned the shirt.
If you select create new, takes you to the create new game pass page with a query param for the shirt that is getting converted. You follow the screens and when you confirm the creation the shirt is destroyed and we spawn up some threads to grant the game pass to everyone that owned the shirt. |

^ The other solution is asking poppinman32 for direct DB access...
I'm sure either one will work just fine.... |

1. Copy image on VIP shirt 2. Paste into the game pass 3. Make the game accept the game pass and VIP shirt 4. Take the shirt off of sale and update links 5. ??? 6. Profit |

| What if there was a new feature where you could sell a t-shirt? Meaning the person who bought it for a certain amount of R$ or Tix would gain control of the asset? That would be truly awesome. |

@Pre
If there is no way to convert VIP t-shirts to game passes: - have to call UserHasBadge as well as the new game pass method - some people will buy the game pass who bought the VIP t-shirt before I took it offsale. I will feel bad unless I refund the money, but that would take a lot of time and not all of them have BC. |
