what are some good books about french history i will be taking french history classes and i dont want to be behind |

| French history... Not much... Just a lot of beheading and surrendering... Before that they were snooty monarchs with a class system, and now they're snooty people that are professional pickpockets. |

wwii and wwi will be learnt by all european countries wwii is a tricky subject to teach in france because lots of french people collaborated with the germans after/ during the invasion
the french revolution is surely important for french history, and i know other european countries learn about it too specifics on bonaparte aren't so important as topics in other places, but they may be in france (he's like a semi-hero)
apart from that, maybe only the gauls vs romans and the wars with britain in the medieval era will be important
i visited the museum at agincourt last time i saw my cousins in france
and i made friends with one of the exchange students this year who has come from france for four months
have you been to france before? |
