| Won is a strong word indeed. World war 2 was won by a group of nations, so was World war 1, and Korea, we're fighting our own war on Terror and Drugs, though those are both pointless, meaningless, and un-achievable. |

| Maintained? Bull crap. Go back a hundred years and women start gaining rights, and are still looked upon as creatures that are highly beatable. Go back 50 years and racial segregation's making us fascists - the very same thing we fought in World War 2, and somewhat communistic in a couple ways - another thing we were fighting back then. Go back 25 years and fathers would still smack their kids, and their wives, and we were fading away from thinking the evils of the world were the Germans, to the Communists, to the Islamic race, and things were still uneven. Today there are laws protecting everyone from things as simple as bullying, which I've heard is still a very big problem in Germany, and Korans are burnt to show hate against the middle east. |

| Yes. Back when the constitution was written we still fought with muskets and carried guns proud. Today gun laws are strict, and violence is easily sparked. Rights, constitutional or not, are being changed under our noses. |

the founding rights of freedom of religion, speech, etc are still in place.
all the nations we've fought have been based on restriction of rights.
if we had lost, we would have lost the rights as well.
also, no attack while at war has ever reached the US. |

Freedom of speech just caused 10 countries to wage war on us, as a few people did to them. Nations before the Cold war/Korean war were fought because either we were attacked on our soil, or for land. Nations Korean War+ were mainly because we were scared of the Communists, Islamic race, etcetera, and because we had to maintain dominance.
The revolutionary war was on US Soil, 9/11 was US soil, war of 1812 was US soil, World War 2 reached US soil, our war for land against the Mexicans was on what is now our soil, war against the natives of our country was on our soil. |

Freedom of speech just caused 10 countries to wage war on us, as a few people did to them. ----------------- this just proves you're blind to world events. turn on the news and see the libyan people holding up signs apologizing to america for this.
The revolutionary war was on US Soil, ---------------------------------------- the us was not yet established, so no.
9/11 was US soil -------------------------- this wasn't during war time
, war of 1812 was US soil, ----------------------------- again, the us was not yet established
World War 2 reached US soil ------------------------------------ suprise attack on pearl harbor during peace-time.
, our war for land against the Mexicans was on what is now our soil, -------------------------------------- but during the actual war it was mexico
war against the natives of our country was on our soil. ----------------------------------- that was before the us was established |

this just proves you're blind to world events. turn on the news and see the libyan people holding up signs apologizing to america for this. ----- Really? I'll have to check up. Though I'm sure that there are still other countries upset for reasons other than being scared of imperialists, the same ones that give them money, taking over their country.
the us was not yet established, so no. ----- It was established after, you are correct, though it was still on our soil.
this wasn't during war time ----- Though it caused war.
again, the us was not yet established ----- Though it was an independent nation from the British.
surprise attack on pearl harbor during peace-time. ----- And in Alaska, where we captured Japanese Zeros
but during the actual war it was mexico ----- Because we took their land and displayed hostility
that was before the us was established ----- It became independent from Britain's empire after the Revolutionary war. In the 1900s, we still pounded the original Natives, until they had very tiny "reservations" to live, in which case it was pointless since there were bigger, better cities out there. |

The US has also supported its share of right wind dictatorships. |

____
The correct statement would be that we've been able to maintain a reasonably independent evolution of our way of life. |

You say freedom of speech caused 10 countries to declare war on the US.
I'd say, its worth the fight. |
