| This is probably because of a loose wire or something, but sometimes my screen fades white from the right of the screen, and takes about an hour to actually get to the left. It also sometimes has just a white screen with random black lines, this happens a lot when I start it up. All I can really do is wait. I have a Compaq Presario. If you need images, add me on sk_ipe. troloparadox. |

@Mil It's most likely a loose wire, I just want to fix it. |

you can get better performance off something you put together yourself with $1000 than a $2000 dollar alienware desktop (protip: alienwares are for suckers) |

You can build a desktop computer for under $700. |

also ram isn't as important as people say it is
you will probally never need more than 8 gb, unless you're trying to see how many applications you can run at once for fun |

It's pretty easy. If the part fits in the slot, it goes there. You just need to make sure all the parts are compatible (for example, the CPU has to use the same CPU socket as is on the Motherboard). Just do a little research and you'll be able to figure it out. |

4GB of RAM is more than enough unless you're doing video editing, in which case you need a ton of RAM (more than 16GB generally). |
