It's because we don't have any Chinese speaking countries throughout the world other than China
Spanish is spoken in almost as many countries as English, if not more |

i think i heard somewhere more countries speak french than spanish albeit there is a higher spanish speaking popuiation than a french one |

or europe (especially france) i think in europe the three biggest languages are english, german french in that order |

there really isn't all that much of a difference between the french speaking countries and spanish speaking countries
both are poorly developed outside of europe
not counting brazil and canada |

Spanish must have at least some prevalence in Brazil, though
If you've been to Miami, even, a lot of the signs there are in Spanish |
