Jimmy Hendrix is a "guitar god", I cant deny that, he was a very inspirational guitarist;however, he is over rated. Think about it, how many hits did Jimmy Hendrix have? He had two. Purple haze and All along the watch tower (witch he didn't write). Although he has 2 hit songs, some people view him as the greatest musician.
Some arguments will be "yeah but he died early and would have more hits!".... Yeah but his death was also his fault so it's not a really valid excuse. |

Hendrix had waaay more than two hits, dude. He had more the two top 40 hits alone.
Also, if you listen to the original Watchtower, Bob Dylan's, it sounds completely different than Hendrix's. Hendrix totally made the song his own, and even Dylan himself considers it a Hendrix song at this point.
Anyway, the number of hits he had isn't a judge of talent of influence. The albums sold lots and his live shows were probably explosive. His Woodstock performance is still widely remembered as being incredible.
Hendrix is, I guess, over-rated, but not for any of your reasons. |

Are you trying to say that an artist is only as good as their hits, as well as how many they have? I suppose you also think The Beatles are the greatest band to have ever existed. Jimi Hendrix was a legend in guitar. To say anything less is blasphemy.
I don't even like Jimi Hendrix that much. |

Are you trying to say that an artist is only as good as their hits, _______ *His. "Their" is plural, and it is used incorrectly in this sentence because you only referenced one artist. Little downs, bro. |

| Why are you being condescending to me, as if I'm supposed to know every rule of English? Especially considering I've only known the language what, half of my life? It's not my first language. Do you seriously find yourself superior in that you know something about English that a second-knowledge speaker doesn't? Do you also like to correct people with autism and then act as if you're amazing for it? Or perhaps bragging that you can run a mile to someone in a wheelchair? Your point is irrelevant to the conversation at hand, and my argument is still valid. |

I am also in an autism support group.
my argument is only valid _______ Your opinion is not a fact. |

| You're missing the point. What you did was completely unrelated to the conversation at hand. Are you trying to get at me for whatever reason? If so, buzz off. You also misread my post. I clearly said "correct people with autism and then act as if you're amazing for it". So, do you correct them and then brag about how smart you are? If so, you're one of the most conceited people I've met. Without reason, too. Now until you can think of a sufficient rebuttal to my original post, don't even reply to me. |

| Also, when you corrected my "their" to "his", you were actually incorrect. I said "an artist", not "Jimi Hendrix". An undefined artist, i.e., neither male nor female, is to be given the pronoun "they". Saying "he" would imply that all artists are male. |

"Buzz off" is not within the colloquial English vernacular. I can hardly understand your writing.
So, do you correct them and then brag about how smart you are? _______ No, I just correct them and maybe make a few inferiority jokes. I never assert my intelligence as superior. I never asserted my intelligence as superior when I corrected you. It could be that you are provably more intelligent than I am. However, I have one thing that you or any autistic savant does not have: precision of language. |

"An artist" refers to one person. Big ups (is that colloquial enough for you? LOL!) |

| LOL! You must have received your definition of "they" from Google. Sure, it may make sense, but it's like using "which" instead of "that:" don't do it. There is a proper way to use "they." Besides, it's so easy to just use he/she. |

| Really? Considering it's used all the time in fine literature, textbooks, and by the common person, I do believe it is correct to use "they" for that purpose. Where do you get this horrid elitist, self-entitled attitude? I have yet to treat you this way, and even to other people I wouldn't act like this much of a jerk. |

Considering it's used all the time in fine literature, textbooks, and by the common person _______ Do you know how many "learned" men use/used "that" in place of "which" in instances such as "The cat that went in the room was black." Big ups.
And LOL, aren't you that chick who recorded a bunch of vinyl static, Burial style, mind you, and then called it "ambient?" Sounded more like flatulent Bassnectar basslines to me, LOL! |

| I couldn't care less about how much you know about the language, it's the manner in which you present yourself that most disturbs me. You aren't any higher up the social ladder than I am, which means you are in no position to speak down to me. It's rude to do so, as we're all on equal ground. |

It's rude to do so, as we're all on equal ground. _______ I agree. I have studied Marxist theory for years and I think we proletarians should unite under proletarian internationalism. I didn't know that you too were a socialist! Big ups! I revoke everything I said, and now we can continue with amity in our hearts.
Big.
Ups. |

| One doesn't have to harbor the same political and economic beliefs as where they live. Were that the case I doubt there would even be socialism. |
