"Mega death" One, it's Megadeth.
Two, they're not really that overrated. They released some seminal albums and helped influence the growing thrash movement in the 80s. Even when they set their eyes on the charts on the 90s and released a few not-so-great albums, they still had some great songs. |

ehhh, I think I've looked at overrated in a different light. In my opinion honestly if someone is like "the beatles is the best band ever" then okay hey look that's their opinion and I don't believe that too many people like an overrated artist.
I don't believe any acts, say, get too much attention or more than they deserve. my only thought on what could possibly fit in this discussion is how when a known artists dies, suddenly they gain so many new followers, and now everybody loves them, and wishes them well in the afterlife. in fact there were people who had no interest in say, whitney, but when she died suddenly look at all the love for whitney.
houston.

@92982 I like Youthanasia as well, but it doesn't seem as strong as Rust in Peace or Countdown to Extinction. |

| I like Youthanasia more than Countdwn. IMO, it's their third best, after Rust and Peace Sells... |

| See, with Youthanasia, they began sounding more like rock radio, less like metal. I guess you could say it's proto-Risk. |

"the eagles guys"
Except that nobody actually likes the Eagles. The only Eagles fan I've ever known is my Grandma. |

People who actually listen to a lot of music don't like them, but in terms of average pop radio listeners they're popular.
"Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" is the top selling album of all time, tied with Thriller. |
