I do not know what West Point grads are, but I assume they're some kind of American robot. I'll only be here until I can get into Fort Ceteris. |

It isn't directed towards you, actually.
It's directed towards the general feel of those people. |

| That's funny, because I don't favor "insta-receiving" ranks, yet I am planning on going to West Point. |

"West Points grads"
Graduates of West Point, the United States Army military academy. The US Navy and other branches have equal military academies to West Point.
All graduates automatically become a comissioned officer in their respective branch. (US Army - 2nd Lieutenant), allowing them to skip the following ranks:
Private 2nd Private (NATO E-2 rank) Private First Class Corporal/Specialist 7 ranks of Sergeant |

| Also, it's different in "rl" military. You go through special training to become leaders, or Officers. And you go through combat training to be a soldier. It's not as simple as, your average grunt kills some people and is then promoted to a "high rank" or whatever. |

If you enlist in the military, you don't get any officer training, or anything like that.
That is, if you talk to a recruiting officer to be accepted; or get drafted.
Most enlisted soldiers don't reach officer ranks, unless they do things incredibly spectacular in their military careers.
Conversely, upon graduating from West Point, graduates immediatly recieve the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, and are placed in either clerical work, or in frontline control duties. |

@Reaven,
I am either going to join the US JAG Corps, or go to Harvard and get an MBA, then work on Wall Street.

I hate telling people which schools I'm applying to. They laugh when I say I plan to attend Yale.
West Point would be fun, but I'm too invested in this life path already. |

"I got offered to attend West Point. I decided I'd rather go into civilian medicine."
Hahahaha... nope, that's not how it works and you're a blatant liar.
Getting into West point is nearly impossible. You have to have a 4.0 GPA, be a star athlete, have family in the military, and have a letter of recommendation from a congressman just to compete with the other West Point applicants.
West point is limited in size and the recommendation from a congressmen is required.
No one gets "offered" to go to west point unless it's their dad who is a Senator or General in the US Army and has the connections. Unless you are one of those two, stop pretending. It's pathetic when I see kids pretending. You know if you had the chance to go to West Point, you and I would both jump to it. |
