The Community Staff are individuals who are 18 or older, and payed to work 100% on the forums. They moderate and post on the forums. They are a great supplement to the Super Moderators, who moderate the entire time, and therefore cannot just focus on the forums.
Currently, there are enough A-Team Moderators and Super Moderators so that there is always at least one on the abuse report list 24/7. My suggestion is that there should be enough Community Staff members so that there is always at least one on the forums 24/7.
How would this be accomplished? The first step would be to invite Stravant and Anaminus, the only two remaining volunteer forum moderators, to join the Community Staff. If I understand correctly, they currently make gear for Roblox as well. They could either continue to do this in addition to a position on the Community Staff, or Roblox could hire a new developer to do the work that they did. If they were added to the community staff, there would then be five community staff members: masterchiefalpha, cogiparade, gordonrox24, stravant, and anaminus.
I do not know whether or not you have to live in California to join the Community Staff, as you do to become an A-Team Moderator. My guess is that you do not, due to the fact that gordonrox24 is now part of the Community Staff, yet does not live in California. I do not think that the possibility that an exception was granted for him due to him having been a forum moderator back in 2010 is valid, because if it were, he would most likely be a Super Moderator right now.
If, you are indeed not required to live in California to join the Community Staff, Roblox could hire mature and responsible users who are at least 18. It would be especially prudent to hire international users, as it would make it easier to form a 24/7 forum surveillance schedule.
Eventually, the community staff should have, at the minimum, 24 people in it. This way, one person could work for an hour everyday, seven days a week, thus accomplishing 24/7 surveillance of the forums. Over time, even more people could be added, which would be even better, as it would allow the community staff to be able to take breaks, instead of having to work everyday.
The reason 24/7 surveillance of the forums would be important, is because, from my experience, a lot of inappropriate or rude material is submitted to the forums. It is good that there is at least one A-Team Moderator or Super Moderator on the abuse report list 24/7, but they cannot focus on the forums, and the effectiveness of that system relies on user integrity (whether or not people will report rule-breaking material). However, if at least one community staff member were watching the forums 24/7, this would increase moderation efficiency. A-Team Moderators and Super Moderators can manage the forums through the abuse report system, and the community staff can directly manage the forums by browsing it. User integrity should also be encouraged, which would help increase the effectiveness of moderation via the abuse report system.
Whether you do or do not support this suggestion, please provide at least one reason why. Thank you. |

You forgot gordonrox24. He's also a volunteer forum moderator, just like Stravant and Anaminus.
Btw, I know Stravant's mod powers don't currently work. Might be the case with Anaminus too, not sure about gordonrox. Anyway, they should be fixed. That would obviously help. |

I think it is more important to monitor the abuse report list than the forums themselves. Almost all bad content is reported at least once, so if all reports are viewed, most of the content will be removed.
Currently, I am not sure how many reports end up never being read, but there should obviously be none.
"If I understand correctly, they currently make gear for Roblox as well."
Yes, they do. I can confirm this. gordon doesn't, however.
"They could either continue to do this in addition to a position on the Community Staff, or Roblox could hire a new developer to do the work that they did."
There is no reason to hire a new developer when there's already them, who are both very experienced scripters.
I have in fact myself thought of making gear for ROBLOX. I just want to get rid of some my projects so I have enough free time on ROBLOX first. |

| I do agree, though the 18 ideal is great. This would help having moderators from different timezones to moderate while the california mods are asleep. |

@JulienDetheruns
The staff list is outdated. Gordonrox24 has recently joined the Community Staff, as evidenced by his Administrator badge, and his rank "Community Staff" in the Roblox Community Staff and Forum Users group. I also found out from him through private messages that he is in the community staff. |

Oh. That explains a lot. I was also surprised about him still being only a volunteer moderator while he is in the community staff and handles the wiki. Just didn't make sense to me, but since that's what the list was saying, I thought it was actually right. |

The purpose of the Community Staff, if I understand correctly, is a supplement to increase moderation efficiency on the forums. Though most of the seriously inappropriate content will be reported, it can take up to 30 minutes or more for it to be removed by the super moderators on the abuse report list, depending on various factors. However, if there were always at least one community staff member on the forums 24/7, inappropriate material could be removed in a speedier manner.
"Currently, I am not sure how many reports end up never being read, but there should obviously be none."
Some reports are missed, which is understandable, because humans are not perfect. Having more community staff on the forums would increase the buffer to fall back on if a report were missed.
"Yes, they do. I can confirm this. gordon doesn't, however."
By "they" I was referring to stravant and anaminus only, not gordonrox24. I apologize for the misunderstanding.
"There is no reason to hire a new developer when there's already them, who are both very experienced scripters."
I agree, unless it would be too much work for them to both make gear and be on the Community Staff.

Sounds cool. |

| I support because this would reduce the lower age users to be more safe, and their parents would ket them keep playing. |

Support. And it would also be nice to have a "other recent reports" thingy if that isn't already implented so it would be more noticable if someone is on a spam-streak. |

| This is a great idea. I agree with your statement on how it should be international. Hopefully Roblox will adopt this idea into their system soon. |

Persistent forum surveillance should be the only way to go on a child-friendly website. |
