Just making sure there's nothing you can do to achieve a transparent blur effect with GUI. Quite honestly, I have no idea what forum to post this in.
I'm like 99% sure it's impossible. |

Also just making sure you guys understand, I don't want just a transparent white.
I'm looking for a Gaussian Blur. |

You could use an ImageLabel or just use multiple frame GUIs.

| Well if you knew anything about GFX with Photoshop or Gimp you could just create a decal and use that as the background of the button. (Not sure if you can use decals as backgrounds never worked with GUI's b4) |

Yes, I've used Photoshop and Illustrator plenty.
Some of my work: http://www.roblox.com/Osyriss-Logo-Gallery-place?id=19731514
I'm looking to blur whatever is behind the transparent GUI (blocks, and stuff) |

It IS currently possible, but it would be very difficult and time-consuming. My advice: Wait for GUI rotation to be released. When that happens, you'll be able to just create one or two decals that have various opacity so as to achieve a blur, and then rotate some stuff so that it looks like you're bluring the whole thing.

Well when you think about it, you could make a in-game gussain blur. Just a bunch of frames at different transparency each, in circular formation, where the center is 0 transparency.
