Just making sure there's nothing you can do to achieve a transparent blur effect with GUI. Quite honestly, I have no idea what forum to post this in.

I'm like 99% sure it's impossible.

Also just making sure you guys understand, I don't want just a transparent white.

I'm looking for a Gaussian Blur.

You could use an ImageLabel or just use multiple frame GUIs.

Well if you knew anything about GFX with Photoshop or Gimp you could just create a decal and use that as the background of the button. (Not sure if you can use decals as backgrounds never worked with GUI's b4)

Yes, I've used Photoshop and Illustrator plenty.

Some of my work:

I'm looking to blur whatever is behind the transparent GUI (blocks, and stuff)

It IS currently possible, but it would be very difficult and time-consuming. My advice: Wait for GUI rotation to be released. When that happens, you'll be able to just create one or two decals that have various opacity so as to achieve a blur, and then rotate some stuff so that it looks like you're bluring the whole thing.

Well when you think about it, you could make a in-game gussain blur. Just a bunch of frames at different transparency each, in circular formation, where the center is 0 transparency.
